Maligator Mom!! New to your channel. My Mailinois / Heeler female mix dog (Tasha="Gift from God") has two speeds. Energetic and extremely active outdoors and laid- back chill indoors. I think she has forgotten how to play indoors or out? I have always had dogs who liked to rough house and do tug a war with pull toys and play fetch. Tasha does not like doing any of this. She just loves to run all over the outside hiking the trails, exploring the area, hunting for hidden treats inside the house and sleeping. I adopted this 7 year old Malinois / Heeler mix female (Tasha) 4 months ago and she is a blessing and joy. I have owned other dogs but never a Malinois or Heeler. I must say she learns very fast, is very obedient and willing to please when not being stubborn, but rarely. I was told Tasha was left alone a lot by the previous owner with two other female dominant dogs and there were some trust issues we have had to overcome. She is adjusting just fine. We hike 3-4 miles in the AM (60-90 mins) and 2 - 30 mins walks in the PM. She does great on lease and off on the trails and around people. She does not like other dogs. She is assertive but not aggressive. I have noticed Tasha is not like other Malinios or Heelers that I have seen. Not interested with playing, rough housing and not very engaging indoors. She would rather just eat and sleep (chill) inside. I am a little confused and concerned. Can you help me out? Respect!😀👍
The most honest video on dog training I've watched in the past 5 years. As far as production quality, you are Hollywood level. At this point I personally am done with training. If my Doberman isn't on his game by now, he'll never be ready. I've relied on breeding. He's 5 and I have no intention of buying another one. I don't have a knack for training. As far as his training partner she's untrainable unless you have special skills with coon hound type hunting dogs. At this point I am more interested in the psychology of dogs. This morning, while I was trying to enjoy my espresso, my Plott mix was trying to get into the neighbors yard, under the privacy fence. There's a Bully Pit Bull on the other side. Fortunately, I have learned a little Doberman language , and I knew something odd was going on in the backyard. He was making the same dog sounds as when he found a python. My neighbors are addicted to the last legal drug, and don't pay attention or simply don't care about dog safety. But disaster was averted. I'm left wondering why a neutered female would want to go into the neighbors yard, when she knows how dangerous the other dog is? Personal training is a great idea. But I have to keep up with basic maintenance like new fencing and a new roof. I'm an old geezer and still do my own landscaping and painting, but money towards a personal trainer is out of the question. It's all I can do to set aside a veterinarian fund. I've found out, from personal experience that pet insurance is an unregulated scam. Good luck with your new project.

If you're in the PA area Jim Hill does private training and has a Schutzhund club. He's raised World Champion dogs from puppies, numerous times. He's not online tho, most good trainers aren't as you stated , they are too busy training to load content. Good luck!
Hi maligator mom I would love for u to answer these 4 questions 1. when i first get my malinois puppy how many times a day should I be training with him and when should I increase the training time 2. Do I use feeding time as training time when Ime hand feeding my puppy do I use that time to to shape certain commands because I feel like it would take a long time feeding your dog that way considering the amount of kibble and how little u can fit in your hand when luring 3. Or should I just keep feeding time as just hand feeding and designate multiple training sessions a day using a treats instead and if so how many training sessions would u recommend with your new pup and for how long 4. at what times of the day do u feed your pups and how much thank u

@@MaligatorMom, that's exactly what I was hoping for. I'm on vacation in the Philippines. My Mal is in 6 weeks of intense training while I'm away. I'll be back at week three and will be doing some private time to learn footwork and the lessons Buddy has learned. Then I'm gone for 3 more weeks and will return to again learn more in private class and pick up Buddy. He's a "trucker dog" and is with my over the road 24/7. We make stops out on the road just to get out and burn some energy and work on obedience and play time. Knowing I can view 30 days is just what I need. As internet is sketchy at best in the Philippines.
