In this video I show you how to add instruction cards to your games through pinup popper media, how to add custom instruction cards from VPUniverse, how to see the instruction cards while in the front end and during a game, and I share a few troubleshooting tips to make sure this works for your vpin cabinet.

I love this feature in popper. Another thing to note: you can have help screens that span multiple pages. You just need to say "add to list" instead of "overwrite" when you drag in the extra pages, and use the flipper buttons to page forward and backward while viewing.

My god. What a great series of videos!!! I have enjoyed them for some weeks. Very well done and I really appreciate your work. I know the work behind these videos as I have a similar channel (“Mi rincón aeronautico”) showing how I build an ultralight plane here in Spain. Very good illumination and quality of the image (not like my videos). And a superb editing work. Congratulations. When I finish my plane, I’ll go for the pinball cabinet. I need DIY projects… Thank you very much for this work.

Already had this setup. I blame you (and thank you) for pointing out the new cards. 🙃 Spent last night grabbing close to a 100 new cards to replace low res ones I had. And added more cards to a few tables. Such a great feature.

I have considered it and am thinking about eventually making a VR mini pin build for home. It would make for good content too. I still have to buy a VR headset and try it out.....so much to do. Cheers!

Another awesome video,thanks for the series you've helped out huge in the community. you can also access this feature in popper, if you set one of your cab buttons to O (operator) you can show help,info,lower volume,mute,record BG,PF,DMD, custom scripts to change pov no need to hit f12. It's a game changer

@@wayofthewrench Rudy's Arcade made a custom POV script for this. He has a mega download on this video (Add Menu for 10.8 POV Adjustment). The POV script that comes with popper is the old way don't think it works with the new window mode or 10.8. In popper controller setup change the menu select from spacebar which is forward nudge to a vacant key. On my cab I have 3 buttons on the left start, extra ball and the Popper Operator Menu button, I used my extra ball buy in as my select button. Hope this helps.

Great video again as always, just a few mentions. When editing the screens make sure you hit save PuP Pack or the screen layout will not stick. Also having default state to always on will cause the help card to show, but you can't navigate tables until you close the help card (H or Buy in).

Gotta get this set up. I just updated to 64bit, 10.8 and Popper 1.5 beta7. I've downloaded Futurama and Darkest Dungeon for 10.8. Going to play them this weekend.

I havent bothered up to now adding instruction cards to my Popper, but your video has given me the incentive to do it. I have my cabinet online i wonder if the cards are available to install from online within Popper, ill find out later when i give it a go.

Many are in the popper media manager. There are some hi DPI versions on VPU, not sure if those have been added to media manager though.

Yup just like in the video you can go to media manager and search/add instruction cards under the help screen. There are better ones available to download on VPUniverse too. Have fun!

Yeah that would have been good to show too. I do try to show everything in my videos but sometimes you can show everything because the videos get too long. At least I showed the popper screen where that would be possible. Thanks for the watch and the suggestion! Cheers!

Would it no be better to put them on the backglass instead of the FullDMD, that way you can keep your scores up while being able to check the instructions. Also The new Video instructions that Kongedam are amazing to add in. I have mine set to use both instruction cards and videos.

Hey there! Another great video. By the way, there is another button that is not used frequently, if at all, on your cabinet. That would be to push the plunger.

Depending on your setup, that may be mapped as a launch ball. Some leave off the actual button and use the one "hidden" behind the plunger. I like the extra ball, or maybe even a shift option with a regular button.

I do not recommend using this button for anything except exiting popper or shutting down from popper because when you pull the plunger back it will trigger the button. I had issues with my games exiting when I first started and this was the issue.

When I pick a table I sometimes get a grayish messed up looking screen then table loads fine. I followed the nvidia settings on nailbuster wiki. Any ideas?

Sometimes it is a bad download of the table, try that. Other times it is running on a incorrect version of vpx. Other times it is a sign of too much processing for your pc/gpu. I have had issues on some tables in the past but it was only a couple and the above things fixed them. Hope that helps. Cheers!

I love this feature too. I have it mapped to the left mangasave button, but only in the menu, not in-game. I also have the original flyer pop up with the right magnasave button, I love seeing those as well
