@@GaiaForceGaming lol you can use it on both, you just get to keep a backup of the latest one you upgrade!

The firmware is made by Heat and cyanic and I did not develop that portion. You can find more info on my site or by contacting them directly via email or Discord

Glad you're excited! I'll probably have more DIM cases, but the belt clips are mass produced so I order those in bulk. I'm not entirely sure if those will be available during the next restock. Hope that helps!

Yes! Going to do a teardown and adapt all my existing shells to it, and I have one secret small project planned for it too. Not sure if it'll be ready for prime time yet tho, so we'll see when the time comes!

Selling the UM separately is planned, and you cannot flash it to a standard Dim.

There's no cap! Since it's a handheld/pocket device, I've honestly never felt the need to have one in my time using it, kinda like how phones don't have a cap for the port. Thanks a ton for the support!

are you providing the means to get the UM for those who did not back your KS campaign?

The UM is a mod chip that allows the VB to be used without a heart rate sensor. There will be announcements about the UM after the Kickstarter about obtaining them in the future

I'm typing the update as we speak! Had to update the website and make this video first, but the first batch of orders will go out this week, and I'll keep mailing more out every week

I don't, sadly. They seem to be pretty standard switches, but I never found the part number for them and for the few people I did fix their buttons for, they still had them working and just needed the 4 headers resoldered to the boards

@@VincentVeak The microswitch has officially come off the board and is missing a header. Could I solder wires to where the headers were and simulate a button press that way?

@@dylanj8676 theoretically yes, but depending where the button broke, you could just resolder the pins directly back on the board as well!

This will not work on the Hero and it's not currently planned since we're behind schedule

If the charger falls a bit low it's usually due to the screen alignment with the motherboard. Is it slanted by chance or parallel to the shell and just not high/low enough? If the latter you may need to add buffer material to align it. I've also seen some people during the early Vital Watch days use a small pry tool after assembly to force an alignment with the port and leave a charger plugged in after, but of course do that with your own discretion and caution. It's also worth noting that just due to the nature of the shell, some thick chargers just straight up don't fit. Hope that helps a bit!

​​​@@VincentVeakI'm so sure that it's my fault, but still to this day, I can not for the life of me get this thing to close up correctly! I can get the screen lined up but I've never had that tension or pop like you mentioned. (I forgot about my VB BE until today and rewatched this to try and meticulously follow along) I've gotten it closed before where only the top button was clicky but they "worked" but then my DIM reader wasn't getting anything. Then I could fix the reader but then the bottom button is just stuck! Today I was following along and thought it was the screen tension you talked about but I can not for the life of me get it to have any sort of tension! Like trying to test the button click will pop my screen up from the battery leverage! And the buttons click until I put the back on so I think it's one of the protruding parts on it that is holding it down. Not looking to complain or anything! I was just hoping you knew if maybe I needed to modify a bit more for the VB BE or if you could tell what I'm messing up?? I really really enjoy what you've done here and I'm so sad I can not figure it out! P.S. I want to clarify I didn't respond before because we had been in contact through email! My charger still doesn't line up to the opening but I had been able to get it to charge with some work.

LOL not a dumb question. The Upgrade Memory is a firmware mod that allows us to use the VB without a heart rate sensor so it can be a truly pocketable experience. Heat and cyanic believe that you should still walk and be active though, so now Vitals are based on steps alone

Fairplay that is amazing as I have heard the vb heart rate sensor can be a bit funny sometimes, I don't Currently own any ver of the vb but I noticed yours was in English but all the reviews I've seen say they only come in Japanese is that something the upgrade does ?

@@wolfy207 nope! The VBs menus are all in English and the only things that are in Japanese are the Digimon names

Yep! The feature set from the base VB are all in tact! The UM basically just makes handheld mode possible :)

@@VincentVeak it ended up dying😅 I left it laying on my desk, and it eventually got to a screen where it looked like it was going to digivolve. When I held the B button, it turned into an egg I really appreciate your fast response though!!

Digivice V uses proximity to determine whether you are wearing the VB, so with there always being something behind the sensor, it should always consider you to be wearing it. As for vital gains, it'll probably be a little random, but you can still gain VPs consistently through walking.

@@caralynx So say I'm holding it in my hand or wearing it as a belt or in my pocket that should be enough for something to be behind the censor?

@@KaiserGX There's two layers of material in front of the sensor, so no matter how you're holding it it'll think you're wearing it.
