I finally just got me a UDR Traxxas to go in my collection working on about 27 now trade it a notorious outcast for this UDR it has a lot of hot racing aftermarket parts on it and I was just talking to Sean about getting a new rear end he told me to go through treal

I have all the Integy suspension and sway bars on my UDR. I want the V3 axle because it is the only part I am missing. Just got lucky enough to find a UDR still in the original box unopened.

How do you get the bearings out of the axles so you can position the bearing on the outside of the eclip? This has been a pain and a concern to not damage the bearing. Love the channel!

Great udr videos very informative, I’m thinking of getting the Vitavon rear axle for my udr. Is it easy to install the stock gearing into the Vitavon axle? My udr is brand new and never been run so everything is brand new. Cheers … Steve

Say, did anyone notice with the Vitavon bulkhead and rear axle. there is a noticeable vibration? I hear it more during low speeds, and just before hitting top speed it gets loud but the completely disappears once it is at top speed. This was the case with stock parts. I have the bulkhead, transmission, rear axle and driveshaft by Vitavon and they are great but curious about this finding.

With the vitavon rear end you don’t have to use the rear planetary bearing that goes into the rear driveshaft?

Did you use the vitavon rear axle for the udr? I notice that I have less slack on my udr with my udr plus I’m also using the upgraded traxxas open rear diff mod from traxxas so I don’t know if that also makes a difference.

I'm an Arrma guy for sure but having a pimped out UDR would be nice. Problem is, to be on the level I want it would easily be over $1,500.

Yeah way too easy to go past that with a big truck. But there is nothing like the UDR on the market. Mojave is awesome but it’s just not as scale as the UDR is.

Very wise of you to refrain from jumping it as you often do. I have discovered on both my Traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL and Losi Tenacity DB Pro that by avoiding jumping the trucks the service life of drive-line parts is dramatically increased. When you consider that a 3ft high jump with a 1/10 scale RC is equal to 30ft high jump with a full-sized truck the endless breakages and time spent repairing are relative. Does Vivaton send you this stuff for free? I don't replace/upgrade until a failure forces replacement.

I usually just search on eBay for shims. Usually .2 thick and then use either the bearing inner diameter or outer diameter to get what I need.

That’s the one thing I hate about the udr and sbr is all the dirt that gets in hard to reach places.

I am building an axial bomber however I want to build it more for doing jumps and off-road. What type of electronics would you recommend? Something that can handle a 3 cell lipo and is on the cheaper side?

Well if you’re not crawling you really don’t need sensored. You can look at maybe a Castle Sidewinder 4 and a 3BRC 4600kv Acis motor. Something like that should do what you want.

Hi guy ! the teeth of the little pinion (# 8579) keep breaking, I'm in my fifth in three months! Does the Vitavon rear axle and planetary gear solve this problem? I love your videos, go on! « Salut » from France.

GPM makes upgraded ones, I had the same problem and it stoped braking after that upgrade, I also recommend applying shoe goo around the axle once its put together to stop dirt from getting in there

Thank you for your response, I ordered 3 pinions on the GPM site a few days ago as well as the set with the large pinion, now I wait 3 weeks-1 month ... 😢 but if that solves the problem it reassures me 👍🏼. I'm already using grease to keep the dirt out, but thanks for the info (some will be happy to read you). Take care of yourself.
