Ramsay don't mind it as long as you're doing a great job. Benjamin and Jarod (S15) are two examples of that. In Chris' case (S1), he was already in hot waters when he disagree with Ramsay's decision about his signature dish.
I think its because Ben did worked in a Frech restaurant. While Jared/Gerald only start saying Oui after Gordon mentioned about his history in Frech. So one was more natural while the other was way forced. You can actually hear it to the way Jared had to take a second to stop himself from saying yes and say oui instead
Benjamin worked in French restaurants just like Gordon did, and the head chef would only respond to Oui instead of yes. And it’s stuck with him ever since.
Nope, sometimes Chefs are told to say "Ya Chef" and/or "Yes Chef", it is determined by the kitchen standards and the chef running the pass... I once was almost whipped by the Chef for saying "Yaaa CHEF!!!" and I was the dishwasher...
@@scatthachkagamine7923 Not every French Restaurant is in France XD But aside from that, it depends a lot on the Restaurant aswell i guess. If you for Example got something like a Open Kitchen, but your Cuisine isnt French but for Example S Spanish or so, it might simply fit better to say "Yes/YA Chef" or use the Hispanic Equivalent, even thou you are in France.
@@sensen9900😂 my mistake. I thought they were talking about actual French restaurants… in France XD because then it’s obvious that they’d say Oui instead of yes/ya. Guess I just wanted to say that you simply speak in the country’s language, most of the time 😅
Idk why, but its so cringe hearing Jared says Oui. Yes i know Benjamin from ss7 also does it. But w Jared it sound so force. Like you can actually hear him having to take a second to stop himself from saying yes and say oui instead everytime Gordon say smth to him. That and also he only started doing it after Gordon mentioned his time in French
I love how they uploaded a french theme compilation 2 weeks earlier than the olympics and not the day itself yet it was able to ride on the engagements. Those who manage this account are not only witty when it comes to titles. Smart move.
Frank saying is someone spoke French in Brooklyn, he'd literally bin them is WILD! Sexist and Xenophobic Frank getting his karma IRL after the show is, as Robyn would say, "Sweet Justice Yo!".
