In an SBS, Oda stated that he took out the beauty because the Blackbeard Pirates have a "more pirate-like" theme: huge, rough, and vulgar. A beauty would just ruin the mood if she existed (although Oda also stated that he likes doing such things).

OH GOD. That dragon part!! That mysterious sentence/translation from Artur! WHAT IF. Dragon was forced to kill his wife?! Indirectly or directly, but something along those lines? Because it says that "the revolutionaries would still following him even after finding out his past" which implies its something horrible/inhumane? Which most of the times sort of involve murder?? Maybe his wife died and Dragon blames himself, and thats why he gave Luffy to Garp.

San Juan Wolf having a df was probably an afterthought to explain his enormous size

Maybe when big boi's df makes him larger, the percentage of his body remains the same and the extra size is attributed to the df. So let's say he grows 10x his base size and is submerged 90% in water. He would be 10% big boi and 90% df. So even if he's submerged 90%, 0% of his actual body is submerged so he doesn't feel any effects. Also if this was oda making a mistake, you're welcome, I've found a solution.

You guys ever wondered how a kairoseki handcuffs completely deactivates the df powers ,but the powers can still be active underwater, I mean that could be a huge mistake in one piece

I'm not from Cuba, but i'm from Latin America and i've been there. Fidel, like every person who fought for some cause is view as a revolutionary hero to some people. I've know a lot of people who admire him and other than don't. I think that this is a perfect choose for a dragon inspiration! Really happy that oda take inspiration for this side of the World

For an explanation for San Juan Wolfe being ok in the ocean; as organisms get larger, their volume increases faster than their surface area, so although he was almost up to his shoulders in the ocean, he had a lot more volume to make up for it. Maybe?

Kaido may have certain immunities as well since he can't die apparently. Blackbeard needs his Yami Yami to nullify effects. EDIT 3: Captain Koby's Observation will defeat Kizaru. Also, pretty sure that's a red flag that Dragon is gonna turn into a villain unless he is more of a Che type.

What if Dragon's secret is that he had another child before Luffy that was taken away(or killed) by the world government. It seems kind of late for dragon to be having his first kid at 36 and it's the kind of secret that he wouldn't want to talk about but may actually rally the whole army behind him if they were to find out.

Ok, Dragon's "secret" description now has me *99.9%* convinced his mother was a Celestial Dragon. I'm also now leaning more towards him being raised as a Celestial Dragon, then being abandoned at a young age/leaving in disgust. This would also explain why Garp seems so distant/different from him (because he didn't raise him), and why it was implied at Reverie that Garp had connections to the Celestial Dragons (he married/had a child with one).

Here's a guess of mine: Sanjuan Wolf is the Blackbeard Pirates' shipwright. 1. The Blackbeard Pirates' boats/rafts are made with large logs of wood. They'd need a large Shipwright to make giant rafts similar to their one. 2. Franky can fight Sanjuan Wold, using his giant robot, the General Franky. 3. He's known as "The Great battleship" which could either relate to how he'd fight in a battle/wat, or he might've built Pluton at one time.

For real though: I wouldn't be surprised if Pizarro tried something like a personal rebellion against the WG independent from the Revolutionary Army in the North Blue, like invading other islands and such, and maybe even almost succeeded. That would definitely be a crime the WG would want to erase from history. Edit: My theory on how Wolf could stay in the water is as follows: because San Juan Wolf is just so f*king big the weakening effects of water simply don't permeate through most of his body and just kind of get stuck just past his subcutaneous fat pads, which are so wide they effectively isolate him against whatever weird anti-Devil Fruit radiation the water gives off. He is probably still weakened significantly, but it doesn't really matter because he's just that strong to begin with.

I’m guessing the “dark secret” is the fate of Luffy’s mother. My theory has always been that Dragon started the Revolutionary Army because something happened to his wife and it really, REALLY pissed him off.

Fidel Castro is such a great lesson on power and human nature. Its easy to forget that long ago he was a hero and savior to the vast majority the people of Cuba. But the regime quickly became harsh and cruel, for the same reason all communist nations tend to. Beacause despite the fact that (and I'm very much a capitolist) communism is fundamentally perfect in hypothesis, it requires there to be a central governing body with absolute authority to ensure that people follow the rules and resources are evenly distributed to the people. Unfortunately we dont have some race of perfectly benevolent beings, totally devoid of ambition and desire to administer over such a society. So we are left with very flawed humans who must then be given absolute authority. Any human being with absolute power will eventually become corrupt. Even if you had a perfect communist leader, he or she would eventually have to be succeeded when they passed away and eventually corruption will reign. The US didn't help the problem, because dozens of attempts to rally coup attempts, dozens of attempts at assassination and an infamous failed invasion by US trained Cuban expats at the Bay of Pigs made Castro paranoid. In his paranoia Castro did what he thought he needed to to ensure his life and the sovereignty of his nation. Namely, he cracked down on anyone who could potentially be a traitor or US spy/ agent. This led to torture, murder and policy which made Cuba even more isolated and insular than ever before. Over time the people began to hate the lack of opportunities in a communist nation, but even more they came to fear the regime, and Castro himself. They feared that they or someone close to them may say something that the regime took to be treasonous and would end up disappearing. This combined with the stagnant isolated position Cuba found itself in led to an unhappy people. So that's the general overview of Fidel Castro's heel turn. At this point I stopped and asked myself "why did I just write an essay about Fidel Castro's relationship with the Cuban people in the comment section of a RU-vid video about One Piece?". Instead of deleting all this however, I'm going to post it so everyone else can see the wild tangents my brain goes on.
