@@barrybatiste9363 Im wondering the Same i need to know should i keep this Vizio i just purchased or is the Samsung crystal better for my PS5 i need answers ASAP?? 👀
@@MurdaT12 I have 65 hisense 58 vizio v series and lg 49 lg 6300 model uj6300 shows the best for gaming and upscale quality is better of the 3 keep vizio v has a great picture to never had a 4k samsung can't speak on that
Wow! I had no idea that so many settings were involved in setting up a gaming console. Of course, I don't have one; but just amazed by the technology. Keep up the good work, my friend.
hey im having a color problem whenever i turn on hdr. Whenever i move around in a game the colors greatly shif by a lot. Its like sliding the color setting from 30 to 100 back and forth if that makes sense. any ideas on whats wrong?
That's what happens when you buy a budget 4ktv bro I have the same TV and have this issue as well. Whenever I move around I can see some flickering happening.
Cut your game HDR back on. Or just turn the HDR option off on your gaming console. Actually the best picture I get with my console is with the "calibrated" setting. I have "super resolution" on high, gaming HDR off and color 4.4.4 off. It looks great. I don't really notice much if any added input lag when compared to the "game mode" settings.
The only problem I'm having with this is that my game color is always different from the original game and I've never had this problem before only with this big flat-screen. And my friends never had to calibrate and the color looks better than mine ?
I have a 55 tcl for the last 3 yrs, amazing input lag but bad motion blur. So, for now 3 yrs later Im fortunate enough to obtain a ps5 I bought me a Vizio 2020 model (V405-H19) until the 4k 120 tvs prices decrease in the future. I have 4k monitor and 1080p 144hz monitor. 120fps is beautiful (especially cold war on ps5) but I watch A LOT of media so 4k 60fps on a panel is the sweet spot for me. Excellent review, I'll update my experience soon!
Great video. Quick question. So you should turn off HDR mode on the tv (V655-H19), adjust the HDR settings on the Series X, then turn HDR back on, in the tv menu?
Personally I prefer vivid and cool colors. I like the colors to pop and have that comic book feel. I tried the suggested settings and it was too dark for my taste. I don't know if it's my room lighting, type of vizio, or ps5 system.
Hey man I have a ps4 connected to a vizio 40 inch 4ktv v series and it wont allow me to change the contract, color, sharpness and tint, the picture looks ugly it wont allow me to adjust those settings why?
@@Matt-hh2li hey bro vizio came out with an update in the v series. TV and it fixed everything. Update you TV via the internet and everything should be fixed.
Thanks for this. Any reason why in the settings I can't access Full Color 4.4.4 ???? I called vizio they said they don't offer 4k 120 which I already knew.
I've been having trouble while I'm gaming the screen goes completely black for 2-5 seconds then comes back on and "HDR10" pops up on the top right when the picture comes back. It's a brand new 58 inch vizio 4k HDR TV I've tried factory resetting, bought 2 different kinds of UHD hdmi cables, and I just tried a ferrit core on the cable for interference AND still has the same problem. Please help ANYONE!
@@camr8240 I've tried that. Had it on 3 initially then switched it to 2 because it was recommended by vizio support team. I recently spoke to playstation 5 support team and they recommended to basically reinstall the software. So upload and back up everything then reinstall and it's like a factory reset.
@@brandallcury4523 Did that work for you? This TV has been the biggest pain in the ass for me personally it shorted out and killed pixels due to static its just a cheap TV and doesnt do what its advertized as doing. I cant even edit Backlight options to fit the specs this video is showing.
That's because its switching resolution. Vizio rep should know that. The same thing happens when you switch the resolution on your console. For example if you switch from 1080p to 2160p on your console the screen will go black then come back on with the changed resolution.
I was watching the production video for the v series v435-j01 it says it has full array backlighting and amd freesync Hdr10+ and Dolby vision is that legit?
How do you get these settings? Even with update my tv doesn't have these settings, even though (only) with the app I have the hdr settings. So it is possible to get extra settings from other sources idk why these are different
Hey there. I have a question. I have a vizio v series and a ps5. I have lag and I can't seem to get rid of it. I've tried lots of things. Do you have any suggestions to get rid of it. I had no lag with my ps4.
so on my xbox i had to turn off dolby vision and up the color depth in video fidelity to 30 bits per pixel at least due to sum wierd tv glicth it was wierd cuz i thought it was the hdmi so i changed it to my ps4 pro no issues also if i lowered it to 1080p no issues ive had this tv less than 2 weeks shit had me scared
I should suggest a revisit to this TV people are buying now (I buy one) on 2021 and I would like if someone can explain better the 1.4 and 2.1 HDMI input and a difference betwen backlight and tone mapping.
1.4 hdmi and 2.1 hdmi's difference is how much data they can transfer. The more data, the better the picture. For example only true hdmi 2.1 can output 4k images at 120 frames per second without losing hdr color quality. For backlight and tone mapping, I think they are the same thing but I'm not sure.
Man I just want to figure out how to get it to show the games default display. I don’t like messing with things bc my last tv when I switched the mood the hdmi it automatically corrected the color to show the correct display but now I can’t get the original display
Im trying to match this but the tv is not giving me the option for Backlight, only when i switch it to 1.4 from auto or 2.1. I do have it set to wuick start, what am i doing wrong?
I'm 65. I don't play video games. But I bought a Vizio V 505-H9. I love the Tv. Best I've ever had. But I constantly have to adjust the colors and brightness. I thought this problem would be fixed by now with all the fast evolving technology. It should be doing adjusting by now. I watch over the air tv and DVDs. I need setting that puts the tv where it's pretty close In color and brightness for almost anything. You are really good with this new tech. What can I do to fix it? Thanks for all your videos.
You have to use higher quality signals to get these TVs to perform. Over the air is normally 720p and DVDs are around 480p. It’s like taking a picture on a bad camera to be honest. Unfortunately you’re kinda stuck with these signals
@@TechSteve I have a bluRay player and I get 1080 channel I get 62 channels in Modesto CA. 720 and 1080 I don't have that bad of problem. It's going from 1080 to 480 and vice versa. But you are right about the signal. 1 more question. Are the 4k dvd players made now for different regions. I got 2 bluRay DVDs at redbox only 1 played. Is it like that for 4k UHD players? Thank you so much for your help. You have great day. And be safe. I learn something almost every time I watch. Thank you god bless
I’ve done all this and I still can’t get mine right. If I’m in a dark room in game then I can barely see anything. Alternatively if I’m looking at something bright it’s all washed out :,(
I know the response time on this tv is very close to 10 ms but is that response time noticeable I’m coming from a 1ms monitor but want to use my consoles on a bigger screen
@@TechSteve my PS4 supports HDR and I'm playing to get an Xbox series X soon hopefully but thank you for your help I enjoy your channel keep up the good work
Vizio tv's are garbage. Bought a v505 for $400 and out of the box the video and audio were out of sync. The tv is now 6 months old and the audio keeps going out. You have to reboot the TV to get the audio back. Changing between apps, the tv shuts down and won't turn back on. You have to unplug and plug back in to turn on the TV. Called tech support and was told they don't have parts for a 6 month old TV. They will ship a USED TV in exchange for the original tv. But first you have to submit your credit card info so they can put a $400 hold (original tv price) on my credit card. If they receive your original tv damaged, your credit card will be charged. So basically spending $800 for a used tv. It will be your responsibility to recoup your money from the shipping company.
So all Vizio Televisions are garbage because you had a bad experience with a single one? That's anecdotal evidence and it's ignorant to think you can make a valid conclusion based on your experience alone.
@@sheeplehunter9651 i have received replies from other people that have had problems with their new Vizio TV so I'm not the only one. How does a company not have parts to repair a new TV?
I have one of these in a 65 inch. I wasn’t getting the full range out of my TV. I ended up having to turn the hdmi mode to 2.1 and that enabled a lot of stuff on my Xbox series s. Before I did that my series s didn’t even seem to think my set could do 4K 60hz among other things. So you may find you need to try turning that on.
Hi I have the same tv and I’m having an issue with brightness on my ps5, to be specific on my ps5 or series x the light is so bright that on certain pictures I can’t see text I e tried playing with brightness contrast color etc to no avail any advice?
There is a lot of variation from one Television to the next even when they are the same brand and model do to component variables and it's better to do some research on calibrating the color yourself rather than copying someone's settings since what works for one TV is unlikely to work for another.
