It's easy to see what a pro you are. Typical RU-vid car content creators don't mic their exhaust. I love it. :D I saw Between the Lines not long after I bought my Subie, and your film made me fall in love with the community before really being involved. I hope you and your family stay safe and well. Thank you for sharing your work.
Hi zZLiana! A lot of times audio is overlooked but I think it really makes a big difference! So cool! Im glad you got a chance to watch the film. Welcome to the Subie Family. Stay safe and healthy.
Equipment looks expensive. . I have a 206 sti same color. I'm retired here in hamden,ct. Riding out the times in isolation. 67 diabetic so not taking any unnecessary risks. Thanks for educating us on your gear. Nice exhaust sound . I installed an stp setup.
Hi JennaHaze! Sorry for the late reply. I know if you wanted to hear more engine sound you can run a lav mic in the engine bay but to get exhaust sounds I might have to ask some audio friends about that one. The tape under the mic is to protect the paint. The recorder that I used is a Zoom 4 channel and placed that in the back seat or something in the trunk. Hope that helps!
Nice to know more about video shooting, I was thinking that you use more like smaller cameras like hero, but It is intresting to see that you used a real camera. And put a tape on the focus, I will test that in the future. Indoor mounted camera, any good ideas? Test it once, but a bit out of focus(didn't have any tape). Thanks to let another know more how thing works!
Hey Lars! Sorry for the late reply, been occupied handling things during this quarantine. For inside camera mount you have to break down the camera smaller, try to use two points of suction contacts and mount on glass. Exposure gets tricky because its usually darker inside the car and the window/exterior exposure goes nuclear. lol. Some ways around that is using diffusion (like tint) or using a fill light to boost inside exposure. Hope that helps!
