What improvements does surfing the Advanced PLUS waves at the Bristol Wave Pool have on an intermediate surfers ability?

Growing up on the Gulf of Mexico before the era of wave pools, I would guess it took me 2 years to rack up 25 surf sessions. And 20 of those were in small waves with lousy conditions. Having access to consistent good waves definitely makes a HUGE difference

Just searched for some videos on Bristol Wave as going for first time in 10 days and found yours… now watched all your videos thanks! You’ve made good progression for sure and it’s been helpful for me to work it all out beforehand. Unfortunately I can only get on the advanced wave but still looking forward to a regular frontside wave whatever! Keep up the great work 👊

Wow that new stick has loosened things up! You're flying! I would have thought that volume would be perfect for you especially if the pool is fresh water. From my sailing experiences of lakes vs ocean the difference is huge. Looking forward to the new project and seeing the other pool.

The first board I ever bought was a 6'4'' thruster. Every time I stood up, I'd either nose dive or the rails would dig in. Don't think I ever managed more than a 10 second ride. I Still loved the board because it was my first!

Wow, excellent progress to date! I too love getting a new board but I would never dream of taking it to the wave for fear of damaging it on that concrete wall. Looking forward to the next installment, thanks for the videos!

Cool :) New board looks great ! My expérience riding wavepool is that it better too much volume as the contrary. You also Ride the right?

Enjoy the vids :) - Would check out the spacehopper by gulfstream if potentially sizing down - does what is says - enjoyed mine last week at the pool and this week at Surf snowdonia - even better in the sea...
