Yerba mate is what you drink when you drink argentinian "mate". It is a very unique flavor and very bitter. When you make tea out of it you make a "mate cocido".

Your edition of Little Women is truly gorgeous! Love that story so much. I can't be too bothered about lunch either. A couple of go-to's for me: a smoothie bowl with protein powder and nuts for added nutrients, or a chickpea 'egg' salad on rice crackers (I can't have gluten but I imagine it would be good with bread! But if you're trying not to have too much bread, you might like the rice crackers). I also like a tofu scramble, with potatoes on the side if there's time to make those.

I am pretty much a golden retriever when it comes to food - every meal GOOD!!!!! Lunch is generally dinner leftovers, which is just fine. Favorite Love Actually story is Joanna Page/Martin Freeman - very brief, but very sweet - they are so kind to each other. And as for Little Women - can't get away from it here in Concord, Massachusetts!

Your Little Women book is so pretty. I have a miniature Anne of Green Gables that looks similar. I’ll have to check the publisher. The Colin Firth storyline is my favorite too. So heartwarming. Lunch is always a challenge for me. I keep promising myself to do meal prep but I never do. I take raw veggies, nuts and olives most often. I don’t get a lunch break so I like things I can eat on the run. Your puff pastry lunch looks so good and pretty.

Perhaps this is the year I finally read Little Women. As a child it was always always on a shelf somewhere, no doubt in the hope my sister would someday pick it up. I've no idea if she did or not, as we rarely talk about books these days, even the ones we get for each other. That's life. Of course, like any good plan there are drawbacks, and for this one it was that I formed as association in my mind of it being a 'girl's book'. It's been very very hard shaking that association but I am going to make an effort to read Little Women in 2023. Hi Sara, Lucy, et al!

I hate breakfast as I just find I'm not hungry in the morning - I normally skip it and then just have a mid morning snack of a yogurt and some fruit if I'm hungry, or a little bit of toast if I'm craving it. I wish I was the go getter morning person and having my morning porridge every day but it's never happened yet haha. I'm also a big soup fan!

I just did a reread of Little Women and so enjoyed it, now I’m reading Little Men for the first time and am enjoying it as well

Ps: I finished Where We Go From Here it was amazing‼️ After that I finished The Holiday Day Swap it was perfect‼️ Last but not I got 27 chapters to go in Little Women‼️

So excited to see more Vlogmas from you, this one was one of my faves ✨So hard to pick a fave from Love Actually but I watched this week too! I enjoyed the Prime Minister soz 😂either that one or Emma Thomson and Alan Rickmam I'd say! So interesting your take on Jo and Amy! Sending love xx I just usually just eat fruit for Breakfast I struggle with that the most 😂 Sometimes a Pain a Chocolat, I could never eat a full English in the early morning😭 😂Are there any other channels similar you'd reccomend? Definitely agree reading is when you have the energy to appreciate it!

I have to admit that in Portugal we are not very fond of the way they depicted us in Love Actually. 😂 But the love story part is cute! 🥰

The flaw with all the movies is that all the movies don’t show the whole story. They show what would equal just a couple of years but the books span over a decade.

I love to eat, but I have skipped dinner, because of a big lunch. I'm always surprised when people skip breakfast, because I'm thinking it starts the day, but I have a friend who isn't a breakfast eater either. I love the 1994 and 2019 Little Women adaptations, but the book felt too sentimental for me. I'm feeling inspired to give it another chance this Christmas and I'm hoping I love it, because I spent $16 and bought the Puffin in Bloom edition. It's pretty and I want to collect all the Puffin in Bloom editions, so just gotta get Heidi and A Little Princess (though maybe I should get the Paper Mill edition of A Little Princess, because I have Secret Garden in that edition). I love how the 2019, focuses more on Jo and Amy's, Laurie and Amy's, and Beth and Mr. Laurence's relationships, which the 1994 movie didn't as much. I also love how family gave off the chaos vibes of a family. In Love Actually, I used to love Jamie and Aurelia's romance, and I still have a soft spot for it, but as I have gotten older I like the Prime Minister and Natalie, as well as the step-dad and step-son love story.

That Little Women edition is huge! Is not like Little Women, Good Wives, Little Men and Jo's boys? If so it's 4 books in one. Just checking!

Lunch is definitely my least favourite meal to sort out, I have couscous most days! It’s vegan, sooo fast to prepare and you can mix it up with different veggies or spices each time 👏🏻 such a shame about the Bird & Blend calendar, it started on such high hopes!

I’m actually not regretting my decision to pass on the Bird and Blend advent calendar. It’s expensive to ship to the US and I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it.

I finally finished Little Women about a month ago. I can appreciate it and I see why it is a classic. However, it wasn’t quiet for me. I would like to read the sequels though. The Good Wives, Little Men, and Jos Boys. Do you think you’ll read the sequels?
