Yes, he doesnʻt just belt out a song AT people or IN FRONT OF an audience -- He CONNECTS to people in their hearts and souls while expressing his own genuine emotions.

What a great reaction, young lady! Even as a voice teacher, getting such a response tells me something special about this young man. When Iam sings, his voice can be either a sunrise, welcoming a new day with a smile, or a sunset, expressing gratitude to his dad and the Lord for one more day to share his talent and help someone sleep.

“I only hurt myself”. I love that phrase. You could feel, hear and see the emotion in those four words. He is such an interesting singer to listen to. So many little gems!

This young man, IAM TONGI, did justice to this song by Sam Cook! IAM added some vibe to this music and sang it like it was his song! His voice has a majestic feel to it and it makes you feel the groove! Only a village can produce such raw and beautiful talent like IAM TONGI! Alofa atu, Tokouso! Ch-Ch-Chee Hooo! Yessssaaaahhhh!!!! Stay humble on your way higher and "Bring It On Home To Da Village!"

Oh good you listened to what the judges had to say. I think Luke has a real connection to IAM. Notice at the end of his comment that he basically just stops. You can tell he wants to say something else but I think he was on the verge of choking up. That is a real magical moment to me!

I noticed Luke had to stop short when he was making his comments. I think he got a lump in his throat. Look at that part of the video and I think you will agree! Then he gathered himself and bragged on IAM for not using his guitar. I think Luke may be his biggest fan! Lionel was just speechless. And I loved when Katie said “I don’t even know what I said!” This whole video is just GOLD!
