If you watch their Coachella performance Jongho sounds the same as he does in the songs. The others there is a difference but you can tell he has worked hard on his vocals.
As someone that’s seen them live twice, I can say that none of them use autotune except the rappers sometimes but that’s a stylistic choice for the effect of it. And they only really do that in studio versions. Live, there is no autotune and they sound exactly the same and that includes this video. There’s also a behind the scenes clip from this where it’s just their vocals and they sound exactly the same.
They barely ever use autotune and whenever they do its never to 'fix' things up, an example of them using autotune is in the beginning of FIREWORKS (IM THE ONE) and it's more of a stylistic choice rather than a fix up
Ateez vocals are so perfect and highly skilled that “professional vocalists” even think they are auto tune. lol well Mr professional if you truly were one you would be able to tell from your trained “professional” ear that is absolutely not auto tuned :)
RAW VOCALS!!!! They are just amazingly talented that they can change their tones depending on the mood of the song. In recorded songs, there are some autotunes, but if you don't know, which I'm sure you don't, Ateez is the one group that knows how to apply it well, just to give an extra texture to the song. Not like other groups who hide behind autotunes. Ateez has real amazing vocals.
wow, no they don't use autotune. And Killing Voice doesn't allow for it. Basically they have to rely on their in ears for the music, and sing without anything else. JongHo is THE voice. It always feels weird when people are like "Oh well, they can't be this good" but *they are*

What??? They're have the most incredible discography!! So varied with uniques melodies. I listened kpop since decade but never stan a group before Ateez. They're true artist. And he said they need better songs? Which ones? The soup that we have been serving for some time?? 😂😂😂 No thanks 😑😑😑 Let my Ateez be the great artist they are😏
If you want to hear their live vocals you can react to the Golden hour Recording behind. This platform, killing voice, uses autotune for a studio recording sound. But for ateez it sounds like they humanized it more. But for Jongho (the guy on the far left) it didn't have autotune.
Bruh Dingo always has heavy tune on all killing voice. Im surprised you didn’t remark about the difference between the tune on other killing voices. Ateez was genuinely less autotuned because they wanted the full dynamic capacity they practice on.
He doesn’t There’s videos of him singing without the need of the standard mic (on a for performances and or the split mic a lot of singers use to tune a bit their “raw singing” . In the streets, when they are just playing games, at fan meets, so you can see that’s his real voice. He also has an amazing voice projection which is really impressive for today’s standards in Kpop (hence why he can sing on rooms without mics and be properly heard etc which is not going to happen with the current trend of whispery singing)
i think Justin Burke reacting to Ateez Killing Voice is a mistake. he doesnt even vibe with most of the songs and keep saying that Ateez's songs are not it. imo, best for him not to react bcs it feels like Justin is undermining the boys' efforts. at this point just suit up or shut up. GRACIAS.
Exactly! As is very obvious in not just Ateez, but his videos in general...it's all about him projecting to the camera. Reactions are so scripted. I could say more, but will not. I take back any gratitudes I've said in his old reactions. Now I know Ateez reactions were just for clout because obviously the world is talking about Ateez now. He needed to as well. He was very impressed with Coachella (could be scripted too, riding along the bandwagon train), then for Killing Voice he's unimpressed? Justin, don't worry, your opinion will not give them any added promotion. They are already up there.
There's nothing wrong with him not liking Ateez. It was obvious from the get go. Which is fine but a W for us! Bcos Ateez was never about being a vocal group. Their unique music sounds/auto tune and dance is what makes our boys. Like, Hongjoong said. You either don't like us or not, we don't care. We are who we are!
Atinys, read the top comments. He’s just using Ateez for clout. Posting multiple videos about them, yet on his patron he’ll say they need better songs and on this video his first thought was that they use auto tune after he heard their vocals. You clearly do not enjoy their content, so having you often post about them just to make weird comments is odd.
There's proof that the Killing Voice videos are cleaned up, there's two versions of Mamamoo's episode, one raw that they deleted and the one up now. They still sound good in both though.
Yah but JONGHO doesn’t in this case. There’s lots of videos of him you can find him singing without mics just his torácica cage and the room resonance so we know how he sings. There’s also a short upload of the behind scenes with Ateez but only a short.
And, there's at least two spots where Yeosang is off key, and San misses an intro, so they may clean it up, but it doesn't appear they needed to or wanted to.
Jongho doesn’t use autotune. If you watch his karaoke sessions you can tell. Mingi has used a voice box on stage but it’s for effect and clearly so. But a lot of artists use autotune or voice smoothing software so it’s possible they do for live stages. I don’t think Dingo does because it kinda ruins the purpose.
If you said this to Ateez themselves, they would feel insulted. It's clear that they take pride in their live vocals, as they rightfully should, considering how much they've trained
They do not use it and what even more in the killing voice they are the only one that hear the music, all the staff just hear the raw vocals, there are a couple of recording from the staff i'm you can find them out there
Auto tune is what makes Ateez different from other groups and the only one's perfecting it, and I hope they continue with that. And keeping their dance choreo intense. But here, there's no auto tune.
Its interesting to me how many people dont think this has been tuned. I think its had minor pitch tweaks, you can clearly hear it in places (particularly when they are all singing). I honestly would have preferred it not to have been adjusted because i think it would have sounded better without. They sound great 100% live in their concerts so i dont think it was necessary. I think its a case of a sound engineer fiddling with it a bit too much using melodine. However, everyone else doesnt seem to be able to hear it so maybe he did a great job. 😂
@garythesnail111 from what others said, coz I didn't even bither to watch, that he said Ateez need better songs and he even questioned the use of autotunes. In actual albums, they use it sparingly, but one of the many talents of ateez is their versatile vocal range. They cannsing high, low, raspy,...etc.
