I love all the dresses but particularly the dark maxi that Rachel shows in the final clips. Gorgeous! You ladies are so talented!

I made my V9253 in a jersey knit with no zipper & i love it , so easy to get on & off. I don’t like that long zipper.
@sharonaliza8984

Did you size down for the knit?
@Dishcreator84

Sharon Aliza nope i didn’t size down, i made size XS all the way.😁🧵✂️

I was wondering how a knit would be for this dress. I also don't like that long zipper.

Brenda Davis i am about to make this, did you have to change the way you cut the fabric since you left out the zipper? I want to do the same thing and just need some tips :]

Thanks that was very useful. Have bought the pattern - was 40% off at Sew Essential this week, and now need to find the right fabric! I will be looking out for some at the Knitting and Stitching Show in October !

Lovely dresses, very flattering on both of you. All the hints are much appreciated. With the high waist, I think it will look nice on alot of body types. Good tutorial.

Lovely dresses and interested in the way you closed it. I watched a tutorial on raising a neckline so machined up 4 inches as added a seam allowance to the front seam. I was also interested in the facing. I didn’t really like the binding and turning in the front seam. I was going to make the maxi version but not sure if it’s too full for me and need to wear it first. I must post mine so you can see it. When I do I’ll tag you in 😁

I love your versions and thanks for the tip about the ladder stitch, I'll definitely use that next time. I made one that's posted on Instagram and I've styled mine with a pair of Converse 😁 I also didn't need to use a zip🤷🏽‍♀️

Love your dresses! I have a very light gauze patterned fabric.I would like to try lining the bodice not sure how? I guess just cut out double the pieces but flip one set before cutting out... any thoughts?

Hi girls! I wish I could wear a dress like those, they are gorgeous. I'm not a busty girl and I'm not sure how the dress would look on me but I love the kimono style. Great video, nice to see you girls.

i still think that the empire shape would flatter even someone with a smaller chest. maybe you should have a look on instagram and see if anyone else your shape has made one, that might give you more of an idea

Rachel, I’m guessing you would need to sew up the plunge to the height you want before attaching a facing?

I’m 5’4” small average c cup so the top dropped and gaped a bit ended up adding a pleat so think next time make the small for me the XS was too tight

Hi ladies I hope you see this. I'm about to make this in chiffon for an upcoming wedding. Do you think I could get away without putting in a zipper and put a small button closure instead? The thought of trying to put a zipper in chiffon is making me break out in hives.

Help 😂! What size do you think I should use for this pattern? This is my first time to use a Vogue pattern and no clue if their sizing runs small or big. My CHEST 34” ( Im more in the flat side 😂) WAIST 30-33, HIPS 36”

Gorgeous dresses on both of you! Side question: why are there so many weddings in the UK? It seems like there's only two seasons: wedding season and the rainy season. ;)
@StitchSisters
@StitchSisters 5 лет назад
Its true but due to the poor weather most of the weddings happen in the summer and the rest of the time its raining !

Hi Ladies, The dresses are beautiful.. I was just wandering since you ladies sew so frequently, do you trace out all your patters? I find that knowing I have to trace, slows my sewing down quite a bit. I was wandering how you ladies handle this sewing situation.
@StitchSisters
@StitchSisters 5 лет назад
We don’t tend to trace we just use the pattern and cut out our size (luckily we are usually the same with a few small adjustments)

if you close the v neck in this way, won't the bodic get too tight?
@StitchSisters
@StitchSisters 4 года назад
no it has some ease around the bust and it doesn't seem to get too tight once you sew it up a little.
