The original is Turkisch but Roel made it into Dutch = BUT he chanced some lyrics. He had a conversation with Karsu about life, and few things they talked about he used into this piece. You can see how Karsu reacts when she reconizes the words.
Roel, the giant in a small package, he's a top grade entertainer and singer (obviously) who caught my attention many many years ago and i've been in awe of his wide range of skills ever since. He's a very caring person and that comes across in pretty much anything and everything he does, lot of charity too. And he is one of those guys who doesnt chase fame, sure he is famous but he doesnt try to push out hit after hit, he rather focusses on combining charity with his music. You will see what a great guy he is when you get to the full episodes, it's already clear just from watching him perform that he is a great guy, but when you hear the stories and how he looks at life... (and how others view him) then the realization sets in quickly that he's a very kind and special person who serves as an example for others.
The band is the Marcel Fisher band, Marcel is the dark hair guitar player. At the end of the song he was singing We (all singers) makes music. In Netherland are used to listen music in a other languages, it help us to discover this language. Roel was before the show never singing in Dutch.
Roel van Velzen is a fairly bitg name and he RE-wrote this song into dutch, but in doing so it connected very heavily with himself. and that really resonated with both of them. the emotion is there for sure for both of them

Roel is a great composer and making arrangements all the time ofcexusting songs. Too bad you could not understsnd the complete new dutch lyrics made by paul de munnick. Starts with the darkness of Karzu s past and with every sentence he changes it to be lighter and eventally end in a light better period of her life where she is now in her carreer .ps the band is Marcel Fisser band.
