G'day guys, today we are reacting to VoicePlay with Dream On. VoicePlay have been putitng out some amazing covers and this one is no different. I love the harmonising in this, their voices sounded soi good.

I’ve been listening to the Aerosmith version and this back and forth the last few days. This is exactly how to cover this kind of iconic song-it’s so different, and so great in a whole new way. The harmonies are insane, and there’s Geoff hovering down there in the cellars, and Layne doing that clickety whatever the heck that was, and…. So good! They’re just killing it this year. Great comments-I loved this reaction!

The first glissando, resolving in those tight harmonies, just gives me CHILLS!! It's amazing. I also like that we can hear some of Geoff's finesse... besides his growling notes and subharmonics, you can heard his vibrato on a few notes, which is lovely!

After that came out in 1973 I heard it in their concert in New York. It was phenomenal. But Voiceplay took it and really hit it out of the ballpark. They just keep getting better and are masters at picking just the right people to collaborate with them.

So Geoff took a song you wouldn't think could be done A Cappella style and did it anyway! This is unbelievably good! Geoffs bass lines & Laynes ridiculously good sounds get more and more unearthly! 👽 Eli, Cesar & Omar's harmonies, all I can say is WOW! 🔥Thank you, I really enjoy your reactions! 🙂👍

I went to high school with Brad Whitford -- the guitarist, so I'm pretty picky about my Aerosmith. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Very talented guys.

Dream on is such an iconic rock song and those high notes and the guitar playing (Joe Perry? - not a factor here) I didn't think ANY a capella group could do it justice. VP proved me wrong again. They do Born to Run by Springsteen, and I'll throw in the towel. That power trio at the center here was full of energy and through they all into this with Geoff running a great bass line and Layne doing his VERY original percussion. Damn, they're good.

Chills, again. One thnig you can be sure of with these guys, apart from the voices, is the diction. You hear every word. At my age i appreciate that. I've heard singers who sing so that I can't make out a word. It seems pointless but it never happens with VP and Geoff. Nice reaction as always. I'm sure you'll enjoy Geoff's new one, due out soon.

I don’t blame you for misunderstanding the words in the original. For me the guitar obscures the voices and words. I much prefer the clarity of this one. Layne's beatboxing was awesome.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. These guys are brilliant. I do wish Omar would become their fifth member as I think he is a great replacement for Earl. His high tenor is so beautiful. I'm sure Layne fell asleep listening to a sci fi movie to come up with those sounds. Geoff anchored this so amazingly. ELI, Cesar and Omar's harmonies on the top...there are no words. Thanks for the reaction as always. Oh and you need to check out Superstition, Something Just like This and maybe Lost on Japan from their back catalogue.

We have a modern team of The Three Tenors! (Not to mention the outstanding bass and percussion) Like you, I had to think… do I know this song? I know the song is known partly for the insane scream at the end, but the lyrics deserve to be heard. I like this so much better than the original. No disrespect to the original, but this is more my cup of tea. I think I might appreciate the original a bit better now that I know the lyrics, but this is so gorgeous. And how often do you say that about a screaming rock song? The end paid honor to the original but still made it their own . (One reactor said he missed all the guitar work…. 🤯 WTF? Did he miss both “a-cappella” AND cover? I didn’t bother finishing his “reaction”!😵‍💫)

Patrol Gaming was the first reactor I ever listened to. I have tried to listen to a few others, but I just CAN'T!! Lyle is THE BEST and THE ONLY REACTOR in my book!! He is so real, so authentic, knowledgeable, fun - I could go on and on! Like he said once or twice " "what's not to love!??" 💜🎶💜🎶💜

When Cesar was hitting the top notes, those were high G and G# at the top of the staff. Mortius did a reaction to this but had Cesar as a guest for it which is fun. You might enjoy Cesar's commentary!

Listening to VP's Dream On several times brought to mind another version of the song that I hadn't played in a long time. It took me a couple days to find the two songs I like (out of many) by this group. In December of 2017 a group of guys going by Blacktop Mojo released videos for Dream On and the Phil Collins cover In the Air Tonight, filmed it what looked like warehouses or a distillery or some such high-ceilinged building. If you haven't seen these of any other of their videos please check them out. I think you'll really like'em.

Geoff joked that this was a sequel to warriors where the zombies caught and ate Earl and J but they picked up Cesar and Omar! It certainly has that vibe ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Loved your reaction, and yes -- I LOVE this version by VoicePlay. Every time they put out a new song, I say "This one is my favorite..." then comes the next song!!!! But this one. Iconic, superb, amazing... not enough words!

Love your reactions - this was a spectacular revision of this classic Aerosmith track, love the 'post-apocalyptic' setting - apparently, this was filmed in Eli's old High School.!

I think it's Eli and Omar, with Cesar doing the close harmony. I know Eli was singing the high part in the behind the scenes video.
