The New 6th generation Volkswagen Polo is a very affordable supermini! Its a good looking, smart, comfortable car with the added bonus of a Volkswagen badge pinned on it, which gives it a bit of classy desirability.
The only problem with the new VW Polo is its beigeness, its just a tad boring and all too sensible. The competition comes in the guise of the Peugeot 208, the Renault Clio and the Seat Ibiza, to name but a few, however, I think this is one of the best small cars you can buy, and its sensibleness could be the key part of its appeal.
The new VW Polo is one of the most comfortable small cars I have driven in a long time.It wont throw you about over minor bumps and it’s surprisingly relaxing on motorway journeys. The seats on the entry level Polo are comfortable around town, however, if you do a lot of long journey perhaps consider upgrading to a higher trim level.
The Volkswagen Polo comes with a full five-star Euro NCAP rating, thanks to features such as automatic emergency braking being included as standard.
The new Polo adds more connectivity, more space and more driver assistance to the already acclaimed VW experience.The new engine is better than the old one, although you are limited to a three cylinder 1 litre petrol unit that is offered in three different horsepowers.Gearboxes are the 7 speed auto and the 5 or 6 speed manual.
All in all this 6th generation VW polo is a decent enough facelift, enough to shoot it up to the higher levels of the supermini league.
