Truly a beast this car is . No comparison with Baleno Alpha / Baleno RS / Baleno CVT Alpha / Jazz CVT. They all seem to be plastic tin cans. The stability this car shows evem at 150 kmph is remarkable. What a smooth gear box. City driving is effortless. Solid built quality. Close the door and each time you get to hear that solid thud sound making you more confident. The 2017 model is equipped with a touchscreen and also lets you connect your smartphone. Android auto, Apple car play, Mirror link also available. If you check the engine closely you will be surprised to see the Audi logo on it. Yes its manufactured by Audi for the parent company's product. This car is ideally only for 2 people in front and 2 kids i the back. Rear sitting is not at all comfortable if the height of fron passengers is above 5'10". Buy the car only if you are the driver and you love driving. Music sound quality is top nothc with good bass effects. You dont get the tweeters like the one in elite i20 asta option. Arm rest is a big miss in this car. Too bad VW for this. Once you test drive this car I doubt you will like any other car on the drive pleasure context.
I drive Polo TDI Highline - simply a great car; great mileage; drive and handling. I am planning to drive this car from Delhi to Leh because of its robust built and suspension.
polo has the worst fuel efficiency, in other countries polo comes with bluemotion tech which improves fuel efficiency but they dont have it here yet. hopefully they bring it soon
The Indian version of this car is very different to the European version I own. We have Paddle Shifters on the DSG, 17 inch Alloy Wheels, the suspension is 15mm lower than standard versions, and a 1.4-litre TSi (Active Cylinder Technology) BlueMotion engine that's good for 150BHP, 137 MPH, 0-60 in 7.6 seconds, and (VW claim) 68 MPG on long drives. ALL of the things listed above come as STANDARD on our GT's. Yours look more like the SEL version with GT badges added for effect. 1.2-litre my backside! You guys need to take VW India by the lapels, and give them a good slapping until they give you a GT worthy of said Badge. It's disgraceful.
Strawbs1962 We can't help it. Every manufacturer now days are doing the same thing here in India. We get scaled down version of each car at the very same or even expensive price than what it is sold in other countries.

No argument sir, u r excellent. Each & every video you explanation is crisp & clear. Polo Gt tsi as mentioned by you is a very comfortable hatchback with decent mileage and great ride quality. The suspension is by far the estimate in its segment. All in all this gives us a feel of a luxurious car as far as ur driving the car.
yeah i guess if the performance is good then mileage isnt an issue but there are cars out there with better performance and yet have better fuel efficiency
I Own a Polo Petrol (3 Potter) for last 3 years ! Maintenance is quite high, Suspension also is nt great when compared 2 other products specially The Japanese Products, since they know the Indian Roads Well ! Minor Dent Repair Costed me 50K+ (Though Covered by Insurance),Product Quality and Premium Feel Though is Class Apart , you may buy if u can sustain the Maintenance & Repairs ! Cheers !
I am having an option to buy a Polo GT 1.2 TSI (2014) (7Speed DSG) for 4.5L. The car has been well maintained and also it has done 100k+ kms on the Odo. Shall I go for it?

I own a December,2015 Polo 1.2 petrol. lt developed a problem with catalytic covertor so that the engine symbol comes up frequently. The vw engineers are not able to fix up the problem. VW after sale service is worst.
There's a sensor in the exhaust can .. Change it , the sign will go. Some times the water goes into the exhaust in the rain and in winters due to which the sensor gets wet .. And engine light comes on . same is the way in summers .. If you are thrashing your vehicle in hot climate the engine tends to heat and effects the sensor in exhaust can , due to which engine cheack light comes up !
I also want to buy but little worry about dsg 2015 model auto gear issue...not sure...but some people telling for it...if fail then 1.2lac cost for it.

polo doesn't have an infotainment system, the touch screen that comes with the car is for displaying the phone directory only unless you pay an extra 50-60K for the outdated infotainment system

Midhun Joy Yes if u r a family guy, then Honda city. If u r a passionate driver, it has to be GT TSI. It's a fantastic car, there is no doubt, Honda city is no where close to it on the highways. Drive quality, steering control, the gear shift, the power, it's a beast. It's worth every penny. People ask me, why pay 10 lakhs plus for a hatch back, I must say, just drive it for 50kms on the highways and u will know that they have quoted it way less than what it demands.. Way better gear box than Honda city.. My friend, 8 years proud owner of Honda city was just mind blown after driving my GT.
the pickup is really bad for it and while driving it on the highway its hard to exceed speed of 130km also it is risky since it has only abs and not ESP
Gautam Raj I guess you cant expect decent fuel efficiency in TSI with city driving. I did 182 kmph on polo petrol. check out my video. Yes It is slow after 140 but that's not too bad either for this little engine. Think I can mange it :)
+Dhaval D Polo GT TSI is by far a faster car than Honda city petrol manual transmission however Polo petrol manual is slower.. my family owns both the cars
+Dhaval D i own a honda city and my friend has polo gt tsi... damn polo.. hes always the winner though the smaller engine because of better handling pull and smaller size than city. polo is the most beautiful car in Indian market..
To my limited knowledge and If I am not wrong, even though City has larger engine (cc wise) it produces 99HP whereas GT TSi produces104HP. A subtle advantage of power for GT TSi. Plus, Polo being a small car "power to weight ratio" would be advantage and thus it may beat City.
Gautam Raj I dont know but still I love Polo.. Driving, Handling and gear shifting works perfectly fine for me.. I have a pics of odometer which show Mileage 18.1 Kmpl and another one 8.1 KMPL. I think its totally depends on road conditions or Engine rave up. Very comfort car.
Wtf!? This Polo's version doesn't deserve to be called GT. Check the Europe version or American version of GT Polo they you'll realize what is the actual VW Polo GT called.. Petrol Polo ain't worth it. Always go with Diesel version. Gives you raw power and far better mileage
Polo 2012 on sale... Only for 190000 anybody want it Delhi registration.... This car is miserable when it comes to spare parts even for smaller things spending of RS 25-30k goes out of pocket...
