You may have heard that Volkswagen is entering the electric off-roader scene with its purchase of the brand Scout.
Scout today released a new image (shown above) teasing the front-end design of its upcoming electric off-road models. The brand also announced that its website is now live./

I’ve been thinking of how cargo is one of my needs, but off road isn’t. If having ground clearance takes a bite out of range, seems like the El Camino/Holden Ute/slammed design is better. Random thought as I look at Volkswagen’s silhouette.

All these manufacturers have quoted their starting price to be under $40,000. What's so magical about that price? And all manufacturers calculate their mileage range using 40% driving on 55 mph highways and 60% driving in the city. I believe most people would like to see more honest mileage range. Such as: At 70-80 mph interstate xx mpge. At 55 mph highways xx mpge. At 35 mph and below city xx mpge.

Agreed. Give me 50 miles of electric range and then another 300 of hybrid range and that would be plenty. Like the Mitsubishi Outland oh ev or the rav4 prime peeve.

F150 powerboost Gets better mileage then my Toyota Sienna And I have a cap and loaded with tools Probably would have been pretty close with ecoboost in terms of mileage with it weighed down but empty I was getting 9/10 l -100km
