Amazing video! I really like that you go in very in depth on the technical parts and pause the video to illustrate your points. It's really interesting that his team has a similar strategy as the japanese national team with Nishida where they run an extremely fast offense as much as possible. I believe him playing so well at this level makes a good case as well for Nishida being able to compete in Europe as well.
One note: it might be difficult/not possible but for analysing the approach a sideview would be really handy. With the view from behind it's difficult to properly see how he is spacing his approach steps.
Thanks! Andrei is a Russian citizen with a Russian passport. He has a residence permit in Belarus. They wanted to recruit him for the Belarus national team as a libero, but the coach changed and they didn't invite him)
he is really good. Imagine all of your blockers are always almost 200cm + and you can do a monster spikes and destroy their blocks. And russian blockers are not just tall. They are known for being the standard of a good blocker. And here comes andrey he just knocks them off. And his defense is alsoooo gooodd!!
I wonder if there's a way to analyze the attacker's "kicking power" as they swing through the ball. I feel like that's an under-reported, underestimated element of the swing: extra power come from kicking the legs out as you hit/swing through the ball.
