There's a new effort to curb crime in the Chinatown International District, where teams of unarmed volunteers are now patrolling the streets each night.
Hey Seattle! This is your tax dollars NOT at work. These people should get a severe discount on their local taxes for having to do their own police work.
The entire city shouldnt have to pay for the cops who pepper spray children and beat teenagers. These goons have broken several international laws and the Geneva convention.
Great point! We should defund the police and transfer it to form a night watch. So these people who are actually taking care of the streets get paid for their services. Policd should be out there. Ridiculous .
@@eldavis3084 I know if all that was happening in my neighborhood, we would have done the same! And I definitely would be out there protecting my community. Then I would protest to defund the police, and use it to hire a security or to pay people who care about us.
@@dmeyers975 Bud.. I've been in prison!!! Lol. I don't even know what you are talking about.. Trolling the wrong person maybe? IDK. I was supporting this. Lol.. But Whatever..
Term limits for this insane Mayor that is hoping for a freaking "summer of love" Are you kidding me? I live in OREGON, and K. Brown are doing NOTHING to stop this. I have no real words to say on this matter anymore.
@@db-rc5fr MY voting habits? 😂 I am an American Veteran Wife & daughter. Patriotism is in my blood. And again, I am in Southern Oregon, a bit further than a stone's throw away from Portland. I have NOTHING GOOD to say about what is going on North of where we are.
Seattle needs more police. Seattle needs a mayor who had the backs of police and tax paying citizens, increase police spending, ,, Seattle because of democrats is badly damaged,
WOW! This is deep, mate! The problem is elsewhere; we do have government and it's being paid by us and DOES NOTHING FOR US! And by that I mean at least the one in WA state.
@@nghipham2194 to be specific, the state and local gummint has completely failed and betrayed the citizens and actively endorse and promote sedition. it's the modern liberal ideology at work. CHOP would still be there had not sawant led a group literally to durkan's front yard, her residence supposed to be secret as she was a federal attorney.
This reporter just put a target on there backs God job they love there community These young people are doing it the right way Others could take lessons Unity not division All colors all lives It’s what we make of it
No one is ever going to want to go to Seattle again. You better get out while you can. Your mayor wants it’s business owners to go bankrupt. Time to flee that arm pit of a state.
It's every persons right to have a gun or not, (at least in free America), but If you're walking the streets at night looking for crime, regardless of your intentions you're putting yourself in danger. It would be wise to have some form of protection as most of the criminals surely will
I live in Seattle and have been going to china town for over 30 years. They are underserved by Seattle's Liberal Politicians. Their intentions primarily go to the Black community. Which is a real shame. The Asian community brings something to the city that is positive. The Black community not so much. IMOP
I do the same thing in my area. Different times and different nights. I dont stick to a schedule i just go out when i fee i should. This is wht smaller communities do for each other.
I visited Seattle a week ago. I really liked Chinatown. I think everyone knows the issues in Seattle... even the issues in Seattle know the issues in Seattle
This needs to happen city wide , don’t wait for a mayor or governor to save the day. Community needs to unite and protect its own city. By allowing federal agents to protect buildings will only continue the vicious cycle!
This is what happens when there is no police presence .What are these kids going to do when approached by gang members.I can tell you more than likely get hurt! brave but not smart arm youselves!
wow.. plenty of other neighborhoods could take a cue from these guys-- more power to them.. I wish them safety.. yes yes yes... do not let the bad seeds ruin your garden
They have yet to run up against the real sociopaths, and woe to them when they do if they are unarmed. They will come at them in numbers, and what they do to them will not be pretty.
I'm really curious. I have not been to any of these major cities in over a decade due to low income. I only watch news reports here and read news articles. But I have yet to see the magnitude of businesses destroyed. How are these citizens able to get their basic needs met, food, clothing, toilet paper? Yes, clothing is essential. You can't expect someone to keep wearing the same pairs of underwear and socks for months and let them get holes. Shoes eventually fall apart too. I have been looking for articles on this on Google and only see information about a food bank. Drive to a nearby city? What about those who take the city bus?? I guess all of Seattle's residents who use public transit will be relying on Amazon for soap and underwear. With the massive increase in Amazon orders worldwide, I can only tell you how long it takes to get an order where I live and I don't stay in a big city. For some, it's over a month for people I know.
