I'm so so so appreciative of these Volvo videos. I'm working on one and feeling overwhelmed and it's amazing to see someone walking through it already. Appreciate the humor, gotta keep it light! 🤟
These videos are absolutely incredible. I’m currently in the process of buying one of these cars and I sure will be looking all around the car for rust to make sure i don’t have to do all this 😅. Anyways, this is super informative and you gained a subscriber my friend !
@@bakedbeansgarage116 Well, with him having 1.33M subscribers - and counting - I wouldn't say that was a bad thing! Perhaps, some of that good fortune will come your way. Btw, Derek stole some of his 'act' from 'Red Green'!
I had the same thing with my MB w124, the water had gotten between the sound deadening and the floor.. It was all wet and came off in pieces😂 After couple of months it was welded up after many painful hours
Amazing teardown of this Volvo. I have a 745 Turbo I am trying to get back on the road. Love your wit, music and mechanical talent. Are you in Northern PA? I noticed the plate on car. I am just north of Phila.
Hello! Thank you for the kind words! I am actually in eastern North Carolina, the car belongs to a friend from Central Pennsylvania.l, hence the rust, lol.
9:11 I hope you are joking, but i dont think you are. Volvo is/was a SWEDISH Company, not Swiss. Even though both countries stayed neutral during WW2. Otherwise a great video, keep it up!
Good lord. I didn't even catch that I said Swiss, I had the Swiss cheese joke in my head I guess. Either way, I was brought up through the American education system, so I can't be expected to know the difference..
After fixing rust, soak the bottom of the car with Fluid Film. Smells like sheep, since it's lanolin - but it will prevent more issues like this in the future.
