A way to check if there are Existing codes - you will not get the codes this way, only find out if there are codes set. How to interpret:
DTC SET - a code is set for this module (the module may have a problem)
CHECKING - an additional procedure is needed to verify if codes are set for this module
READY - no code is set for this module (everything fine)
------------------------------------
If these modules have a code it 'may' mean more expensive repairs
BCM - Brake Control Module (may or may not be and ABS module)
CCM - Climate Control Module
CEM - Central Electronic Module (2004up may want to negotiate the price)
DEM - Differential Electronic Module (AWD, expensive repair, contact Xemodex)
ETM - Electronic Throttle Module (2001-2002, $1000+ repair)
REM - Rear Electronics Module
SAS - Steering Wheel Angle Sensor (not expensive, may trigger Anti-Skid light)
SRS - Supplemental Restraint System (usually just needs erased)
SUM - Suspension Module (S60R V70R, the active suspension fails struts/shocks and are expensive to replace)
TCM - Transmission Message Channel Module (may mean a problem with the valve body, don't buy)
