Cette pub est magnifique. Je pense que les mecs ne se sont pas tellement rendus compte de ce qu'ils ont su produire. Il y a quelque chose de sublime. L'humanité qui se regarde, l'avancée technologique, la puissance de la mélodie, la géométrie, ce couché de soleil... il y aurait tant à dire. En tout cas ce n'est pas pour rien qu'il y ait autant de vues, ça produit quelque chose chez les gens.

A good ad doesn't tell you "we are the best" and force all the statistics they have in your face, they just present their product in the best possible manner they can, and if it speaks to you, you become a loyal Customer. This my friends is that type of presentation! Volvo, keepin it 💯

Imagine the look on everyone elses face when some marketing guy came up with this idea. "OK so look, we're gonna have two trucks side by side. Then we get Jean-Claude Vandamme standing with one foot on each sidemirror and then the trucks part slightly and he does a split between them".

If RU-vid adds are like this I'll never skip anyone of them.

Dont be fooled, this is not the precision of Volvo Dynamic Steering. But simply Van Damme's legs, keeping the trucks in line.

Volvo found out after shooting this that " the dynamic steering" mode was in fact turned off. Lucky JCVD was able to control the trucks steering with his legs. :) love this ad!!

The moment when an ad makes you go back to look at it, not just skip it, is priceless. For everything else, Mastercard! (and its 2024!)

Who ever thought hey lets get Jean-Claude Van Damme to do the splits between two trucks for a comercial deserves a raise.

A rare comment from me to explain why this stunt is actually 100% real and give people a better appreciation of this video. Rewatch this a few times after you read my post. 1) The trucks are driven in reverse for two reasons. People who've driven anything with a trailer know how difficult it is to keep it completely steady in reverse. The secondary reason is there's less possibility of JCVD being run over, if he were to have fallen off. 2) The trucks are _NOT_ identical. The truck on the left of the video is 3 axled and the truck on the right is 5 axled. What this means is the truck on the left is a box truck, while the truck on the right is a truck + trailer. This is important as it explains why the truck on the left is the one that moves. If you turn while reversing a trailer, the trailer WILL turn in the opposite direction. This means if the truck on the right had done the spreading, the trailer would have moved closer to the other truck and made the stunt impossible. If you want to try this in real life...push and pull a kids wagon or a pallet jack while turning. You'll understand why this is so significant. 3) There are 4 people you can see in the trucks. Two of them are watching the solid lines to understand spacing. The other two are observing the dotted lines...notice the right truck occasionally has a white spot show up near the right side of the right truck. The dotted lines and spots are used by the other two people to gauge their timing/speed. This is an absolutely amazing and creative stunt. Hats off to whoever designed the stunt in it's entirety; they really thought it out.

What makes it much, much crazier and even more impressive is that JCVD does this with a MoM hip resurfacing prosthesis that was fitted 1 year earlier in Ghent (which to my knowledge is not mentioned here). In preparation for my own identical resurfacing surgery by the same surgeon, I've been watching the video more often for a great relief. Thank you!

It’s amazing how many people think it’s fake, but obviously they have never seen Jean-Claude Van Damme in action. God bless him, and he took it to a new level my gosh I wish you would do another bloodsport movie.
