Top tip dave. I put a latex glove over the lid as no way of knowing if you knock a piece of crud or rust into the cup while passing it over the top of subframe. Cut it off with knife just before lifting into place.
Nice Dave. My advice buy the special tool for the fuel filter. I had a similar set up on a Ford Transit. I used the plastic nut and cracked the fuel filter housing. Bought the special tool next day.
I had a big question up there Dave but took it down as it was to do with the haldex coupling, will reaserch it more and order a Haynes manual , lol ….. but as always Dave a brilliant wee watch before heading to bed in the middle of no-where up here in the north of Scotland , just glad I’ve got good reception tonight , …. Cheers 👍
Mine doesn't have the AWD and it still a fiddle. I've abandoned the fuel line and just lodge a funnel up under there and catch pan underneath that, crack that nut off and let it go 😂 regarding priming the system, I dip the new filter in clean fuel and fill the housing/cover, although thats not feasible on the AWD version. I also just hold the start button, listen to pump pull it through and do that 3/4 times and still hesitate when starting l. May try the pump on the scanner next time though. Cheers for vid
Obviously the fitment place of the filter housing decided by a suit Dave the location is crazy , we are told to be environmentally friendly , yet 500ml of dirty diesel pisses over the car and the floor, then we have to use aerosol cleaning products to clean it and the roll bar etc off , I think I've got one of those torque wrench devices in my pants , I know when it's tight , I usually hear a noise when it's correct 😂😂😂, as you say we can't rely on one diagnostic device , cost doesn't mean it will do what we need, great video as always , having a few days off as I went to France for a day , now got 10 days off in isolation, but the trip was well worth it , bought a motor home off my friend who lives in France, bargain it was , 2.2 transit tdci Hobby t500 it's done equivalent of 21000 miles , he's never slept in it , everything works nicely , hot shower , heating toasty , body mint , under the bonnet like new , here in blighty at the moment they are 30/36 k , due to covid 19 staycations the number of fingers and thumbs on 2 hands was the right number for me 💪🇬🇧🇬🇧💸💸💷💷, tighter than Sandy I am , and 2 free french Madera cakes and a full tank of diesel 😂😂😂😂
Diesel fuel filters in dopey locations, future problems as we all know. No doubt you got a good deal on your camper, only 21k miles. Aye we all need a wee break. 'I'm not tight, just sensible'(quote from Sandy Anderson, July 2021) Lol. cheers mike
@@davesterl not you Dave it's me that's tight , he let me have it for 10 bags , hes 81 , said he would never use it , asked me if I wanted to buy it I asked how much , flight booked, ferry back in 24 hours , 10 days off in isolation, lots to do at home says the misses🤣🤣👍👍
@@mikeberry304 You have to go in isolation because you’ve been in France that has way lower infection rates than the UK has. 🙄 Let us know how the misses feels at the ending of your isolation in 10 days! 😜
Same engine as my 2014 d5 v60. Setting the oil level is a pain too as if over 3/4 u get a warning on dash one u only have the wee technician dipstick down the front. What ever was wrong with them just having a normal oil dipstick 🙄
