I may be a lowly drone, but, last time we used AI, we ended up in a stalemate war with the Movellans - millions of Dalek battle ships facing Movellans battle cruisers, with the AI on each side predicting the opponents move and countering it. That was really boring - not even a random extermination to break the monotony. We spent ages digging out Davros from his tomb - and, even though we don't have noses, the smell was pretty bad. Davros is not one for personal hygiene. Once we had him back to the surface, the bugger didn't tell us how to break the stalemate - he just chatted to that bloke with the long scarf, who was playing rock, paper, scissors with his companion.

Daleks are underrepresented in BBC News and Current Affairs and Politics programmes.

So I guess the battlecomputer wity perfected AI had been waiting for over forty years now. But on the other side.
