thanks... I've been focusing my energy on writing songs rather than making sounds. But I have some material for a good expansion pack, so we'll see if that appears in the near future. : )

I think I've got it, as in how to load and save my own drum sequences and have them in the directory... create my own custom expansion and then it appears there!

If you create a new drum kit, then save the drumkit giving it a uniuque name like "JohnsDrums1", then you create a new sequence by either copying another sequence or by drawing in your drum patterns yourself, then while on the Seq. tab, save the new sequence under the same name "JohnsDrums1". That way they'll be linked as you browse next time. I typically work with saved Midi files because I like to make some edits in my DAW piano roll. I think in another of of my videos I show how to do this midi export etc.

@@bansawcrown Coming back to this after some months, I believe you have to create your own 'avenger content' text file for your drums to appear in the drum/sequence directory display...

You can lock in a percussion "sound". I.e. if you like a hi-hat sound on one kit, you can lock it so as you change to another kit , it keeps your hi-hat. In terms of drum patterns, [I'm 95% sure] I don't think you can lock in, for example, a hi-hat pattern. As you say, you may have to export the midi for that.

@@bansawcrown yeah I understand that but you can't lock the one pattern and load in another pattern to layer in, so I guess yo u have to bounce or export at that point

You understand correctly. You'd need to export the shaker midi and import it into your track. It would be a great feature request to propose to Vengeance to lock the pattern, not just the sound.

I don't think so. There is no directory under Avenger folder that holds the .WAV files of individual drum files. There are tons of sample packs out there that have WAVs you could use though. E.g. Jon Sine has some: axsens.fanlink.to/samples Malik Beats is another guy. malekbeats.com/ Depends on what type of drums you are looking for and what genre of music.

You'll need to "lock" the rest of the drum tracks and then cycle to the next kick you want to audition. The kick will change, but the rest of the drums sounds will remains locked.

@@bansawcrown Thankfully it looks like this method will be upgraded to a better workflow with v2 as it would be significantly faster if you can just flick though a list of samples than lock tracks.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you want to Avenger to keep on playing the chords when you release your hands from the keyboard, then you're looking at "Latch mode" on the arp.

@@bansawcrown something like that yes its called "chord scan" or "chord memory" in arranger keyboards but in VST plugins and software systems its very rare!!!!

Yeah, try *latch* mode, to see if it gets you what you want.

Do you mean midi or audio? If audio you'll have to solo the drum sound you want in Avenger Drum Sequencer, and then render that track out to .wav. Ot you can send individual drum sounds to different tracks in your DAW and then render out to audio .wav. If its midi you want then you right-click near the bottom of the drum sq and choose "export midi"

Thank you mate, so basically record the track that is solo into. My daw and then render to audio. Thank you so much. A real shame though don't have export to audio within avenger though right

How do you alter mapping in Ez or VPS

You can't import EZDrummer midi into Avenger. You'd have to alter what note triggers what drum and alter the midi.
