In this REV Rides tutorial we show you how to bleed the brakes on a VSETT 10 +. Reasons for needing to bleed your brakes include:
The brake lever feeling spongy and not firm.
When it takes longer than usual for your scooter to stop.
If you have a leak anywhere in the brake lines and need to re-fill the brake fluid.
If your brake pads are worn out and you replace them.

As a bicycle mechanic for over 20 years this video is pretty good however I highly advise removing the brake pads any bit of mineral oil contamination into the pads will pretty much destroy them and cause your brakes to not work as well or squeal like a banshee.

OH NICE! That is a good tip. We will add this to our internal process and when we do another video on hydraulic brakes we can add this step. Thanks Travis!

Can you guys make a video on how to fix wheel wobbles. Thank you
@RevRides360
@RevRides360 19 дней назад
Hey there! Here's some tips on fixing wheel wobbles: 1. Have your air pump ready - we're about to deflate and re-inflate the tire. 2. Fully deflate the tire. 3. Using your hands, grab the "base" of the tire where it meets the rim, and massage the tire. The goal here is to loosen the tire from the rim in hopes that it'll seat straighter. 4. Repeat this process all around the tire. 5. Inflate the tire enough to feel the pressure, but where you can still massage the bead of the tire. 6. At this pressure, repeat steps 3 and 4. 7. Fully inflate the tire and give it a spin.

I dont know if Im missing it or what but I cant seem to find anywhere in your tutorial that mentions how much brake fluid oil you have prefilled both top and bottom syringes. So once u are already doing the bleeding process you mention the 15 ml in that top one but you were never clear on how much u started the bottom loaded with. Please clarify thank u!!
@ReasonRaider
@ReasonRaider 3 месяца назад
If you want a quick and easy temporary fix I have found that you can get a massage gun and go ham on the lines to get the trapped air to the top instead of removing the whole caliper. I figured out that it does a good enough job to last you about a year and it takes exponentially less time the less handy you are with tools. I happen to have all the tools I could ever need but I don’t want to spend 2 hours bleeding brakes then realigning everything alongside the chance of stripping and losing screws (just how it is for me).

The 9+ has cable brakes so does not need bleeding. However, cables stretch so you may need to tighten the brakes from time-to-time. See the 24 second mark on this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zun9d0k2UYM.html

You should bleed your brakes if you're finding your brakes aren't very responsive, which is usually caused by air bubbles in the hydraulic system. Bleeding the brakes is the process of removing these air bubbles to ensure effective hydraulic compression and restoring the responsiveness of the brakes.
