2007 VW Jetta 2.5 with 6 speed automatic transmission 09G experiencing delayed ingagement when shifting into Reverse or Drive, other than that shifts correctly while driving.150,000 miles on odometer.
Pretty sure I'll have to do this on my MK5 Jetta as well. What size sockets did you use to get off the pan and filter, and do you have any torque specs for putting them back on?
Hello, I have an 08 Jetta 2.5 with the 09G, at 92k miles. Don't know the history on the car prior to 2019 at 80k. No transmission issues being noticed. Would you change the fluid or is it too risky?
I noticed today in my catch pan after flushing my CVT transmissions on my 2019 civic coupe 1.5t some small black particles. Normal stuff on the magnetic drain bolt. However I'm worried about what I found in the catch container. It was like small pieces of dirt or something. Black about the size of a pin head, others even smaller. I wonder if it was actually dirt? When I drained the transmission and moved the catch container some fluid bounced up and hit the underneath of the car and back down. Car has 47,500 miles, and I'm very easy on it. There are 2 filters plugs the magnet. I haven't done the filter behind the CVT warmer thing. Or the one in the pan. They say it only needs to be done at 100,000 miles. Plus Honda doesn't even do them, and many of the techs don't even know about the first filter. I'm trying to figure out if that is indeed metal why it's black, and where it's coming from? How it's bypassing the filters. Nothing inside the CVT is black, it's all aluminum. I should have used the magnet to check and see if they were even metallic. Just wasn't thinking. I still have the old fluid and a magnet used to reach dropped sockets and whatnot. Maybe I'll stick that inside the old container and see if it picks anything up. This is my second drain and fill with this car. I like to keep the fluid clean. Probably just dirt and I'm paranoid.
