So glad I did this project myself. I forget what the dealer wanted to replace the DC but it was easy. The only mistake I made was trying to use a 3/8 inch drive which was to large to allow proper seating of the 5 mm hex. Parts from Deutsche Auto Parts showed up fast and Paul was very helpful. I actually did the cam follower as well just as a preventive step.
Just put the new gold limited edition forge blow off valve on my 2009 mkv tsi and it runs great sounds awesome but I’m reading everywhere online that bov on mkv are a bad idea makes the car run shitty loose boost etc I just want to make sure I’m not doing any damage to my vehicle and not taking away performance On a lighter note just bought my ie cold air intake thanks for all the help love your videos
@ Banditen1987 The revised version came out 2010-2011 so it is likely your car has the old version. It is also unclear when they started using the new valve on production vehicles. The only way to be sure is to physically check it.

Hey ShopDAP. I have a CJSA Seat Leon mk3 1.8 with IS38. My car has a new revision C with piston DV. I have installed a revision D with the shroud. What is your opinion about new C & D revisions? Thank you in advance!
My biggest question has to be; What the easiest way/method to remove the diverter valve connector from the valve? For some reason I'm struggling alot to remove it from the original
I installed a DV piston variant because my oem seems to be not working(no code, just no power and hiss hiss when i demand power ). I checked the old part for diaphragm damage but was seem to be intact. There were oil reported coming from the socket of the DV when they took off the old part. My new part failed 4 days after installation. My guess is oil shorting out the switch again. What oil could it be? Oil from the PCV? I did find oil in the PCV front pipe going to the intake manifold on my 2.0 TSI.
Hi, The VAGCOM says I have a mecanical issue in the Boost pressure control valve. Is de DV the same valve? I don't want to buy the wrong part since I will change it myself.
Hi Paul, thank you for all your informative video's and tips. They are all very helpful. I have a 2013 CC stage 1 tune with cold air intake and r8 coil packs. When I'm accelerating, usually in 3rd gear I can feel the DV valve release a couple of times which cause the car to lose power. You can really feel the power band drop, come back up and the drop again and then come back up throughout that gear. This only happens when I'm accelerating aggressively. I'm 99% sure this car has the older DV version. If I upgrade to the revised DV valve will I hold boost longer? In other words could the older DV value be releasing boost prematurely? Any advise is appreciated. Kevin
Hello, After replacing the valve i feel some vibration at 55mph speed and it will go away if I keep my foot at the pedal. However it will c9me back if I let go of the pedal. It only happens on the highway at that speed, I wonder why. Maybe I missed something?
Hi there love your videos keep em coming! I Have 2010 2.0tfsi Quattro 211bhp CDNC Engine I want to put a K04 Turbo can you recommend one or will a K04 turbo work of an Audi S3 or any other tips cheers John from the UK.
Hello, I just got the news that my 2011 Audi A4 Quattro code that came up from my malfunction light reads P2099. They want 2800 to fix it. Wastegate they say.. should I check the DV first? Thank you
@@FLeXJun thanks...i always thought that its the pistoned rev C version...strange. The piston looks like the same as on the D version www.golfmk6.com/forums/index.php?threads/oem-revision-c-diverter-valve-only-2k-miles.301285/
Help.. i have new piston style DV and when i removed DV to check of it's ok, i found tht piston and spring were separated. DV came out in pieces. Is tht normal?
The diverter valve relieves pressure after the turbo when you let off the gas. This pressure needs to be relieved as this pressure can cause issues with the turbo (call compressor stall) if nothing is done with it.
This is an old video but I'll leave my concern anyways. I have a G version and seems to be the "newest" of all. It also has a diaphragm in an orange color. I just bought the D version, which doesn't have a rubber diaphragm. Which version should I keep in my car?
@@Deutscheautoparts Hello i received the part from you and I did replace it. However one screw wasnt good and I put only two screws. I ordered 3 more screws and they should be arriving soon. I do feel some vibration at 55 to 60 mph speed for a moment and than it will go away. I hope you can help me over here. Thanks a million for DIY videos
Hey thanks for the reply! you think just by getting the LDPUMP will perhaps solve it?on the scanner came up with this (2002 audi tt)came up with evaporative emission system leak detection pump & sense circuit range/performance.
Hi Dose it fit 2012 a3 tfsi gas engine? Here are the Error Codes show in my scanner P0299, P0328, P0238. Do you think that the dv cause all the problems? Best Regards Ed
+Kevin C You may not be able to always hear it. You will need to check your boost level to determine if it is leaking. You likely would have an underboost fault.
+Lok Chan We dont have a video but there is a written DIY with pictures here shopdap.com/diagnosis-and-replacement-diy-for-your-2-0t-turbo-recirculation-dv-valve/
Will the GFB DV+ void my warranty , also if i remove it will it be registered in ECU , so basically can the diller tell that the DV+ was ever installed after removal? Thank you.
+Maksim Monastyrskyy You should watch this. Its pretty long but explains warranties and modded cars. In regards to if you can take it off. You should be able to remove it and as long as nothing got damaged the shouldn't be able to tell. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wW25ZxVPqxg.html
