You can fix it by another way, take the switch off and make the Metal part street and twisted it again from close area to the switch body

I did this yesterday by shaving that yellow plastic with a Stanley knife. It's made it 90% reliable but it still clips the switch now and again because the motion of 2nd to 1st gear puts a little twist on the worn shifter. Just seen tonight that you can buy a two piece kit on eBay to replace the black plastic frame thing and that's apparently the cause. Bit late now lol i shaved the s**t out of that plastic! But hey, we both sorted it, right? 🤣

Hi, I have a problem with the reverse light flashing on every 10-20 seconds and staying off inbetween, I cut the switch and tied the wires together and the problem still occurs, any suggestions why it flashes even tho the wires are touching ? Thanks
