1:48 you mentioned the plastic bracket/nub, do you know if when you remove them do you need to place that circle plastic bracket/nub back in?

Nice video. I installed these on my VW Atlas. Wind noise was too much to keep them installed all the time. Now, I just put them on when needed.

I bought some but the seller lost the Torque wrench, how tight do they have to be without over tightening? Thanks

I’ve only just got my first VW golf through a bereavement and would like to get roof bars but unlike my old 2001 Ford these VW roof bar fitment looks like a poor after thought as so many people here in the UK are having water leaks. My Old Ford has 4 plastic strips in the roof which you pop out and underneath you have a threaded nut on each corner of the roof where the roof bars bolt on so nothing goes inside the door aperture.

Hi, how does your ppf behave under the roof rack? I did the same as you did in the video - I cut out squares for the roof rack. Unfortunately, after some time under the roof rack, the film started to wrinkle and after removing the roof rack it looks very bad

did you have any trouble with the install? i cant get one side to line up nicely. it keeps popping up over the roof frame...

What was your max speed with the roof rack and box?
