The process was not made entirely clear in the video, so allow me to add some more detail. The following steps worked successfully for me on my Skoda Octavia on an 08 plate but I am confident will apply equally well to VW and Seat: 1. From Alarmed state, use remote of good fob to unlock. 2. Place good key (programmed key) into ignition and turn towards the ignition as far as it will go without turning on the engine. 3. Place bad key (unprogrammed key) into door. 4. Wait 10 seconds. 5. LOCK door with bad key. 6. Wait 10 seconds. 7. Press UNLOCK button on remote fob of bad key. 8. WAIT 10 SECONDS. 9. Press UNLOCK button on remote fob of bad key AGAIN. 10. UNLOCK door using bad key in barrel. 11. Take bad key out of door. 12. Take good key out of ignition. 13. All done! Test your newly programmed key.
Hi. yes - coding procedure will work with your car as well. It is remote coding procedure ONLY!!! to get new key coded to immo system (to be able to start engine) you need specialist soft/hard-ware
Watched this some time ago and tried it. Worked first time. When i went to VW they wanted £160.00 for one new key. I bought an old one for £10.00 replaced the transponder from the spare key (had no remote) and had the key cut, another £10.00. So saved £140.00 by watching this video. Brilliant video thanks.
Amazing,I found this video this morning and tried it and it worked but does it just program the lock/unlock function not the transponder chip for the engine immobilizer?
If remote was already coded to the car and lost comm with the car you have to do re-sychronisation rather than coding. open the car manually using the blade and press lock or unlock button within 10seconds. remote should work again. to get remote coded to the car you always need 2 blades or diagnostic software.
what should i do if this method does not work? i have both keys , and the one i always use, simply lost remote comm to the car , the second's key remote comm never worked
thats great mate,i need to do mine,is that a golf you have with the 3button key fob??i have a 99 golf gt tdi im trying get the 3button fob to work on my car,do you know if this will work?great video by the way, just what i wanted.
remotes memory is full. old remote was saved as last one and any new remote will be always saved in last position. if you follow instruction again new one will be removed and old will be saved again. you need to clear remotes memory completley via diafnostic software and then code those 2 remotes you have.
Hello Mr. Ciesielski I have a 2004.5 GLI Jetta and when I purchased it, all I got was one Key FOB which the red light on fob blinks (so we know battery in fob is good) but it does not unlock my doors. I do have a valet key from my previous Jetta and it starts my car. I also have a few other key fobs from my other jetta. What can I do if I only have one fob that came with the GLI? After a year this is getting veryyyyy veryyy annoying!
Works a treat! The unlock button on my old key for my 03' Leon Cupra R gave up on me. Bought a replacement remote section (not inc. the blade, transponder and flip mechanism) and used the master key and this guide to pair up the new remote section. Thanks very much!
i lost my remote original key for vw golf 2002 petrol 1.6. Locksmith made new basic key to unlock, lock and start for £100. After 4 weeks every time i use the new key , alarm triggers off till battery drains out completely, then if i charge the battery key will work then same again. Locksmith wants me to pay £140 for other remote key. But luckily found the original remote key but tried its not working.Pls pls pls help!!!
hello robert. I have a question. I have a vw sharan 2007 vehicle. 1 key's battery is dead. i changed it but the key didn't work. how can I rerun the switch. I will be glad if you answer. thanks in advance. have a nice day.
sorry but your question is not clear enough - you need 2 blades (1 int the ignition and 1 to lock the car - you cant use the same blade) remotes must have the same part number. remember - this is remote coding ONLY
I have a Skoda Laura 2010 uplift model. I need to make a new Remote key. Will it be possible to follow the above method and get my new remote key programmed or do i need to go to a key dealer for the programming/key coding? Please reply briefly.
Hi. I've dropped my key last friday and fob stopped working. Now what I want to do is get new blank key with the same number and take it to the specialist to cut the same blade shape. After all I want to program central locking using my old and new key. After programming I want to swap end of my old key with fob from new key. Is that gonna work?
Hello, I have a question, I accidentally erased the remote control of a 2 button blade key from a Skoda Octavia 2002, I need to know if this remoting coding can work with 2 key without code, both can start the car but cant open/close doors via remote. Thanks for your attention.
I would like to know how to do to synchronize the two keys, as the old control only unlocks the driver's door and 2 touches every door opens and closes, but dont close the driver door. This happened when the previous owner, I play the new key, and then the old began to have the same symptom. I can do? because this procedure does not work for me
Will this work with a brand new key? Not ones that's had the battery changed. I lost my central locking key for a seat mk5 and only have the basic door key. it's going to cost over £100 to replace and be reprogrammed to my car if I take it to autolock Smith. many thanks
hi fella.. ive got a mk4 golf gti1.8 s reg.can this be done on my car with a new key.will it also start the car?. any tips would be appreciated. thanks.
Can you please describe what you are doing in bullets? After 0.50 sec it's not clear what exactly you are doing. Do you press twice the unlock button of the key? A sound must be made by the car after the seconf press? Is there any timing that it matters in all this sequence? I have a Jetta tsi 2007 model. Thanks
Hi, I had 3 keys for one of my passats and only one key for the other so I re-programmed a key so both cars have 2 keys, but now the fob locks/unlocks both cars! how do I get the other car to forget its key?
Crap, i need help now! I followed your video step by step...I don't think i did anything wrong...But now my old key, (the one that worked) wont work no more....What can i do? I really dont want to bring it to a dealer.
Ile razy w nowym naciśnięcie otwarcia i zamknięcie a ile w starym?
