Don't forget to loosen and re tighten injector pipes after adjusting the pump. With it being a lumpy diesel vibration can destroy the ends if you've just twisted the pump without loosening and re tightening the ends of the pipes because it causes a twisting motion on the pipes.
i have a 1.9tdi 1Z in my T3 and have similar issues. Dies in 4th/5th gear, no power, also can no longer hear my turbo spooling like yours which is a worry. You mention cruising at 80mph on the motorway, I can barely get 55 out of mine! Do you think it could be the same issue?
I meant cruising at 80kph, not mph, which is about 50mph. It could well be the same issue. I'm putting the van on a dyno on Tuesday and a video will follow so keep a look out for the update!
@@Endfloat on channel 3 on Measuring Blocks on vcds you should see how much air the ecu hopes to read and the real value the MAF is reading, when full throtle you sould read about 800mg/stroke, and when idling about 270-370 mg/stroke if the EGR was not deleted, if you deleted your EGR the MAF should read about 450-500 mg/stroke. If the MAF is going bad, they sometimes read a lot more when idling
@@mauricio5818 Thats brilliant, thanks for that info. I'll take a look at that. Honestly, this sort of help I get through my channel really makes making my videos seem worthwhile!
@@Endfloat your welcome! And also thanks for sharing! Ps: It'd be nice if you join tdiforums to show your swap, I've learned a lot from there and also there are a lot of people with more knowledge that could help!
Hey, you were supposed to check and adjust the injection quantity after that, if its out it, and it probably is, it will make a huge difference. Any update?
I actually ended up replacing the fuel pump at a later stage and set everything up correctly (after a MAJOR mishap). It's driving pretty well now but goes into limp mode from time to time.
