I remember I was on the bus. It was first year in high school in 1987 and one of my classmates had Live...In the raw on his walkman. I was hooked. When I came back I went straight to the record shop and bought it on LP. I became a fan and I still think it´s one of the best heavy metal band.
I love WASP ive done an intervieuw with Blackie in 1986, blackie is a true metalgod, I believe harder faster and the manimal are their best songs, I love all their 80's albums PLAY IT LOUD!!!
thats no joke band dude... they have the strongest lyrics in the history of glam/heavy metal. just listen to the Crimson Idol, its one of the best examples i can think of right now.

Always loved the lyrics. First heard this song when a friend of mine bought LIVE...IN THE RAW back in autuum '87 on vinyl. I was 15 at the time and could completly identify myself with what Blacky sang. And I can completly identify myself with this song even more today!

Great stuff. I have noticed that Blackie kind of got stuck in later years. Still The Crimson Idol is on my top 5 list to get stuck on an island with. (along with Mindcrime, big 'Ryche fan too) saw him once in portland. Super short show, just over half an hour but it was balls out non-stop energy.

Used to force my brother to listen to this. I kinda convinced him with sleeping in the fire....but he wasnt feelin alot of the shit beyond the second album. After excessive play he knows the shit word for word proudly.
