W124 HOW TO: remove dashboard + centerconsole and parts attached
Because i sold this interior. i needed to remove it. This green fabric interior will be changed with a red leder interior. This interior is a 1986 so it is the first seat design. The interior that will go back is the last seat design. This interior is much more comfortable on longer drives.
When the video starts. Everthing except the centerconsole and the dashboard is removed. Also the heater panels and wood trim is still in.
I will show in the video step by step how to remove the parts
There are less connection then you think. you just need to know where to start and where the bolts and screws are.

Working on getting a black & grey interior into my 91 wagon, this video was actually so much more helpfull than i thought it would be when i first started watching, theres a lot of mediocre tear down videos but this was not one of them! Very helpful video!

Massive thank you for going through all this and posting, very helpful! Same car but with airbags. It’s a long shot, but since you’ve probably been there already, you wouldn’t know by any chance where water that runs of the windshield beside the gutters enters the driver’s side left side footwell, would you? 🙄 One more S124 leak to deal with…

It normallyr runs in a gutter next to the fuse box . From there is a hole under there and this will run behind the Inner Wheel well. So i would start getting the tire. Of and remove the Inner Wheel well. There should be a bad spot there. It is pretty normally place to have a bad spot there

Thanks, wheel and plastic liner have been off, nothing bad behind it, car is pretty rust free. Bit hesitant to remove side front screen 😅

Dat stukje isolatie rondom het paneel voor de handrem laat zien hoe doordacht deze generatie auto's was. Niet alleen bij Mercedes overigens. Een beetje een tijdreis deze hier. De eigenaar van het bedrijf waar m'n vader werkzaam was had een 4-drs uit 1985 in deze kleurstelling. Dikke 300D! (met een vermogen van 110pk dacht ik?)

If all the bolt are out. You can just remove.it there is nothing to it

Hello and thank you for this video. I have a 1987 300d w124 that has the palomino interior . I found an excellent black leather interior in a 1992 300e. Do you know if everything is interchangeable. The dashboard. Console. seats and door panels look the same. Just nicer. Just dont know if it will work. And advice or Information would Be greatly appreciated. This interior would really make my car nice. Plus while it is out I can run all the wire for my 9 speaker sound system.

W124 parts Will all fit only the Doors on a later models have speakers in de Doors and that is a different frame . I also have a 95 interior going in a 87 car
