If you compare this car with a Passat or an Audi and emphasize sportiness, you completely miss the essence of this car. You don't buy this for sportiness, but for the enormous feeling of comfort that German cars do not have. It is a "Grand Routiere" in the best tradition of Citroen.

I'm not sure what kind of 1.6l petrol engine you drove, because in pure petrol form in Europe this car was sold with 97kW/131hp 1.3l 3 cyl. engine and with 133kW180hp 4 cyl. engies.... the 180hp petrol version was later replaced with PHEV 180 version (110kw 1.6l 4 cyl. petrol engine and 80kW electric motor with 180hp of combined power) and even 131hp petrol 3cyl. engine is quite adequate to move it, since with it, the whole car weighs 1.400+ kg (which was not long ago the weight of and average C segment hatch).... especially since the whole purpose of this car is -as you said it yourself- to leisurely cruise around in comfort! even in its strongest 225hp version! so, if your preference is to buy "kidney stone braking Nurburgring wannabe racers", you should look elsewhere... 🙂
