Hi again guys, thanks for all the positive feedback so far :) can i just ask though that you don't post any spoilers in your comments? (especially linked comments) as it really ruins the story for folk who have not seen it yet. Thanks.
Emlyn Boyle yeah, of course I know you don't mean me specifically, I just thought that if ppl were watching your video, they wouldn't be reading the comments at the same time or reading it before your video. So, if somebody accidenty read a spoiler in the comments, like "OMG I really like that part where ____" during the video, well.. u see my point. But thank you for explaining your point, and I completely understand and agree with what your viewpoint is, but I think it's just that we are thinking of different scenarios here. :)
Emlyn Boyle also.. thanks for being so polite and nice with me too, coz I know a lot of defensive ppl that are just plain rude when it comes to things like these
+Stacey Chan - yeah it's not so much people reading the comments before or after, it's people posting spoilers *and* putting it in a linked comment - which means a major story point is spoiled before anyone (who sees that post) can watch the movie! I mean, i just don't understand that lol. Like going to see a movie and a member of staff is standing outside the screen with a banner saying 'This person or that person dies' lol. I guess it's also the culture we live in at the moment - where you have movie trailers that basically give away major plot points while still wanting people to go see the movie...ridiculous lol. But anyway, yeah I see and understand what you mean also :) and thanks again for your feedback :)
maybe you're right but I think not so completely, because the "old lady monster" after the girl left "she"saw an ad about "hungry while you wait " and "she"remembered the kindness of the girl who had given"her"a snack bar.... besides that this alien monster needed to eat in "waiting" "something" from the night sky ( UFO ) .. so the girl indirectly fed the creature with the bad guys on the street when in fact the girl only gave a snack but with sincerity....that's what saved the girl that night.....and the alien learn about the good side of humanity
I think it goes unnoticed but the old lady tried to put her hand on the girl's shoulder at the end to comfort her like the girl did with her, I found it a very sweet detail that can only be realized when you remember how the girl acted with the old lady. She never wanted to hurt her, just wanted to share the same kindness the girl gave her :)
The goth girl was so cute and pretty, that I had wondered if she wouldn't had given her (the old lady ) the time of day. Waiting for the long-awaited bus.........the SECOND time! That,in the end,HAD been bizarre, but totally worth it. And the way the goth girl's cell phone's transmission kept coming on and off. And who WERE those guys that had wanted to assault her?
It's more than 10 years now but none of the viewer didn't notice the costume the Goth girl was wearing, it had double fins which somewhat resembles like wings and the alien monster too had wings/fin like protrusion on it's back. It didn't attacked her because she reminded it of someone close to it, like it's children. Overall this animation is absolute masterpiece, I liked it so much.
It didn't strike me that way. I've been binging horror shorts lately and I'm close to burnout. This was a nice break from horror. I loved the craziness, plus it had the feel of a good fairytale.
@@dontaylor7315 I had that moment too where nothing was scary enough it all kinda felt the same so I changed genres and took a break from horror. Now.that I've started watching, reading or listening to horror stories again it's a lot more entertaining.
I'm so fascinated by the fact that they're only communicating with their body language and mimic. That shows how important those things are and it also showed how much anxiety I have 😅
There’s just something so human about seeing every nuanced reaction and gesture and understanding the entire story by that alone. We know what the characters are going through and how they feel without a single line of dialogue needing to be said. That’s so cool man being human is funky
Why didn't anyone noticed at 11:33 the young woman was wide - eyed and crying but didn't dare to turn around and look what's happening behind her .Maybe that's why when the last bus arrived she simply smiled kindly and didn't ask the 'old lady' to join her.
For someone who lives in Russia, this is so relatable. There were countless times when I was somewhere in a city and wanted to come home, and it was already dark. There were no streetlights, and I didn't know if the public transport had stopped working for the day. With each passing minute, there were fewer and fewer people and cars on the street, making you more afraid.
@@greenanimations923 and people spoil everything in the comments you have to be stupid to think you can just look at them without getting spoiled. Either wait till the video is over or don’t be shocked when the whole thing gets spoiled
that twist was actually really good cause i was scared something would happen to the old lady and girl but the 3 bad guys legit got karma on the spot, old animations are beautifully made
Horror Movies really can’t scare me anymore, so I have been searching for movies that do and FINALLY I found this. I‘m not deeply scared, that I can’t watch it, but it is so well made and the fact, that they don’t talk makes it even more intimidating.
Thank you so much! And well, I don’t like having my characters talk unless it’s absolutely essential to the storytelling. I prefer pure cinema over exposition 🙂
I also watched Just Delicious , Who's Hungry? , The Life of Death and Amy. I also recommend CHILDREN, Missing Halloween , Out Of The Locker , Man , The Last Knit and etc.
Short movies that brought me here 1-Who's hungry? 2-Sad man 3-Waiting *Edit-I didn't expect my comment would blow up😅thanks💜I have already watched most of your recommendations just didn't mention it here and if I didn't I will surely watch them thanks*
I saw it a few years ago and finally youtube recommended it to me now. And I'm very glad that I watched this masterpiece again. Omg, I just saw my old comment below this video
I loved the monster. When it was looking at her shoulder it looked to me like the monster was checking to see if she was ok. Glad the monster didn’t eat her
And there's an even bigger badass than those bigger badass and goes on.. And sometimes it happens to be that the biggest badass is indebted to / afraid of the least badass.. if u know what I mean :)
@@tedy8685 Yea, that's exactly what I said. Twat. If you have such a desperate need to be outraged at something, go look in a mirror. At least that would be justified.
I hate anxiety more than actual fear, fear is in the moment, not expected, but you get over it faster, anxiety is so much worse. I love and hate this at the same time.
I was watching that animated movie with my three-year-old brother while lying in the blanket, and he got scared. He hid inside the blanket and kept peeking out, saying he was scared. That's such a cute thing! 😄💕
Kind of spoiler She wasn't going to eat the girl, she was just admiring her, she just saw the bus and and realized she needed to turn back into her disguise. It was a silent thank you//you're welcome
I watched this film years and years and years ago in the middle of an animated short film binge, and out of all of them it's still the one I remember best. Legitimately one of my favorite pieces of horror content.
Honestly, it was more valuable than frozen for me. Hans is the example of you can't judge people by their look. This girl looked so bad. I couldn't imagine she would treat the old lady so nicely... She's just so kind inside. She shared her snack, and tried to protect her even if she was terrified by those people, herself. WOW!
@@ishikajain3668 And then the kindness got repaid when the "old lady" used her monster form to kill the weirdos who were going to hurt the girl, and she never hurt the girl even though she easily could have. Random acts of kindness go a long way :).
@@actualseaslug thats not what he meant he meant the young woman giving her chocolate and trying to protect her was rewarded with mercy but ye the old lady was about kill her too sooo xD
but if he wanted to eat too (although the girl tried to protect her from criminals) he didn't do it just because the bus arrived on time and had to hide
Tryal Man2 Nah ~ If the alien wanted to eat the girl, she / he would have eaten. Besides, was really clear the alien protect her cause he become himself when realized the girl was going to be stealed and in the end they smiled to each other.
I really love how the source of fear and anxiety is constantly changing. It keeps you on edge and I think this is one of the best horror animations I've ever seen even tho it as so few elements and no real use of speech.
I saw this as a kid i know im a stranger in the internet i saw this when i was 5 or 7 this video actually shown me many things in life like being nice to others nothing is like it seems and i just wanted to thenk you for teaching me this when i was 5 or 7 as a kid
It blows my mind how someone could create such a well put together story and explain it very well within only 14 minutes, we need more short animations like this on RU-vid!!
Thank you! And you might be the only person who hasn't complained about the length either! But at the time, it needed that length...though if I made it now, I'd probably try and shave 3 or 4 minutes off it.
Isso é tão vibe 2009 nossa, eu amo esse tipo de animação que pode ser interpretado de várias maneiras possíveis, é sinistro mas você aprende muita coisa só com um desenho desse... X.X
