The second kid is tiny and is probably only a few weeks old but his disposition makes him the better of the two coping with stress of parting. The more I watch this video the more I adore him !
What I forget to realize the baby monkey kept himself busy and distracted himself from feeling alone so he kept foraging too which is a good experience when he becomes older. So brave he is to do his part to act so grown up while still a baby.
I love watching this video that shows how much the baby remembers to mind his own business and stay aside until she shows up again. Lovely ending while he is tucked away in his mother's embrace and nothing else matters but her warmth surrounds him.

he is smart minds his own buisness and stays calm and quiet and when the others get to close he moves away and waits for his mother his mother is a good mother and has taught him well.
I feel for Mom, especially in the beginning you can see at least on her left side she had sparse if any at all, fur. I can only imagine how cold that must be for her. Her baby reminded me of Tiny. Those little coos are so sweet. Nice to see him fall asleep in Mom's safe arms again. All warm and cozy.
This is so heart melting, what a brave cute little one who was able to manage life while mom is away, a very strong smart little creature that I now so dearly love, thank AM for another great and one of the best.
He is so adorable and precious. He's extremely independent. He's extremely mindful of everyone around him. He's so young. Yet, so brave. His Mom taught him well. I just want to pick him up & hold him.

I used to read a story to my babies at bedtime, 'Are You My Mother?', this reminds me of that. This little baby girl is so adorable, I'm surprised momma has left her, or an Aunty hasn't grabbed her. I'm always relieved to see older kids, it really helps the mother.

I have noticed when monkeys are afraid, especially little ones, their tails bush out. This little one has had a bushed tail alot. I think hes really scared. How can mom do that.

I have never seen these monkeys looking for food in the forest..they are always waiting to be fed by people...this little one must be very low rank; he seems very hungry...alone or with his mom things are not different..just an extra hug and a mouthful of milk when she has it..then, starvation again... They are way too many...

First of all, it's a Girl, second she is protected by her troop and is never alone. She has hierarchy being a baby and a female. Juvenile males are the ones who need to be careful and follow troop rules.
Oii what a very nice baby so behave just thriving nd foraging on its own.I hope this monkey is still alive today...it might be an adult now nd has a family of its own❤❤
I'll bet there was a sibling watching over this baby and we just couldn't see it due to the close up video of just the baby. As you can see, the mom started grooming another child of hers shortly after mom and baby was reunited. I don't believe the baby was left completely alone and especially for that long period of time. Just my opinion and observation.
