I don't know what a lot of people are saying about the digital nature of a Waldorf synth heck after many years of buying synthesizer's that is what I expect of the company! Waldorf went out of business I thought and was bankrupt and then purchased by new owners! - I think the new product's are top notch

I like digital and analog synths. This looks like a fantastic digital synth if you have budget for it. And i like the waldorf vibe has such a creepy lofi ish alien vibe to me has character. I have a blofled. I love pigments. And if pigments came in a touchscreen hardware box it would be awesome, sound great and be expensive as well. One thing i like about digital synths is they can use a ton of cpu and all i get in my computer is a super easy to process analog track i can duplicate and go to town with effects on

The thing sounds like an average plugin. And that's it. It's just a high-end DSP sound... This thing is completely digital and that's what it sounds like. No warmth… There are some vintage digital synthesizers that, due to the old converters and other reasons, have a certain character that most newer ones no longer have. @@ObsidianSeduction-jz7js

@@ObsidianSeduction-jz7jsit’s true. It’s like Waldorf designs synths for making noise, and not music. Sure, it has keys and can play notes, but something about their synths just sound.. clangorous?

I love the Iridium, but hate so many of their default presets. Check out some patches from Luftrum / State Azure, Kevin Schroeder, Matt Johnson and Jameson Nathan Jones. I think you'll change your mind on it!

Thank you for the demo. I agree with one of the other comments. This thing is really a vst in a box. Same with the regular Iridium desktop, and iridium keyboard. Quantum has optional analog filters, but that’s almost the same too. These Waldorf synths really lack musical character. The sound is so plain and lifeless. Sorry to make these comments on your video. I just wanted to share my opinion in hopes Waldorf will somehow read this and take that into consideration on their next project. Waldorf! We can get millions of features from any vst on our computers. When we buy hardware, we want character, something we can’t easily get from a vst. Capeesh?

@@Redneck_Wizard salty about the price? Dude, I own a Prophet 10, OB-X8, and a 3rd Wave. All purchased brand new. I buy synths for character (as I said above), not because they’re jammed packed with features. I understand how this can appeal to ones who don’t want to be tied to their computer while writing “music” (noise..jk). But for Waldorf to keep milking this product is a bit tiring. Try dropping something that’s oozing in musicality. Something that inspires beautiful music. We get it. You have the features/specs covered well. Now focus on those filters. More deep full sounds. Enough with the clangorous stuff.
