Fantastic work the bike looks mint. Personally I am not a fan of that exhaust but for 70 bucks who’s complaining. Can’t wait to see the 2003 r1 project that is my favourite year!
Thanks! The exhaust was just to get rid of the one that had rash for as cheap as possible plus I don’t see many reviews on it. Yea I’m excited too! The bike runs hard! Stay tuned videos will be coming up for it
@@JordanWisdomTHEONE it’s a great bike for sure. That was gonna be my spare r1 lol ( I have another showroom 2001 same color)but I let the one in the video go to get a 03 that I made a series on
@@ctadrenaline very nice I’m going to have a look, I think I’m going to keep the R1 I have now and move up fully next year to a BMW and be done with it. I have low km on my R1 I want to keep it that way. lol
@JordanWisdomTHEONE yea man check it out, I still got one last video to make for it to be finished but it’s basically 95% done. The s1000rr is a great bike, if going older I would suggest 2013+ I have a 13 s1000rr and a 2020 s1000rr. The beamers are amazing but the r1 especially the older years 98-03 are such great bikes. I can still say that even owning the new rr.
@ctadrenaline thank you sir. I just bought one that is missing some plastics, the engine/transmission case is cracked and open because the chain broke and bunched up on the front sprocket until the weakest part gave out. Broke the case and ripped the left rearset off. Got it cheap as hell. Low mileage
Quick question! Someone is selling a 2001 Yamaha R1, for 4,600 with 14k miles, they say they have been taking good care of it and it has never been dropped. Should I take my chance?
@@ataranix9149 you can always check it out. Test ride it of course. Get to a spot where you can safely take 2nd gear safely to red line and make sure the bike doesn’t have a feel like the chain is skipping or that it pops back into neutral. If so it has a bad second gear and I would walk away if so at that point because that requires an engine tear down. Do you have a link for the bike? If you want you can message me on Instagram @ctadrenaline if you don’t wanna publicly share the link. I love that year bike. They are a ton of fun. It would be easier to look at the bike if you message me and send the link
@@ctadrenaline it’s on offer up, I don’t use instagram or very many social media platforms at all actually. Do you have discord? I was going to try to send the link here but it doesn’t look like it takes you to the correct place.
