Hi John, yes what would I do without our Paddy dragging me along! 🐕‍🦺He has had a great day today swimming in the sea at the end of St. Brelade's Bay and even better, the ☀️came out! I have to say Paddy was loving swimming which is great, as he was a bit wary of the sea when he first came to Jersey! 🐬All the best to you and yours mate from me and of course from Angie, Callum, Jess and Paddy! 👍🏻

You always meet friendly people on your walks, Tom😊. Intrigued by the hornet trap, hope it keeps them alive!

Hi Sheila, yes people are so nice! As for the trap......I think the idea is to keep them alive! The Jersey Asian Hornet Group has 150 members and many other members of the public assist them. The idea is to locate the nests........which apparently take up to 25 hours to remove! 20 nests had been removed in Jersey this year (by 03 June 2024)!

Hi Tom & paddy G, you had me going there for a minute, (down the steep bit) but you made it, it's nice to meet people on you're travels & have a bit of banter, it also breaks the walk up a little for you & paddy, although he does love his walks, you were quit out of breath Tom on the last part, the chemist told me that walking doesn't get you're heart rate up........ I think that's a porky.

Hi June, yes, made it in one piece! I think you are right........even before my heart attack, crawling up one of those steep hills would have got my heart rate up! 👍🏻

Won’t local bees get trapped in there as well Tom, or is it only designed to catch hornets. You are doing your upmost to recruit more subscribers Tom 10 out of 10 for effort. When I was walking the cliff paths and the country lanes I meet lots of lovely people who wanted to stop and talk as most people in Jersey are so friendly. My very good friend who pasted away two week ago, his wife was wanted me to sell his golf clubs. She said that she didn’t want to look at them tucked away in the corner of the bedroom. Over the past week I’ve sold them all, selling the last of them today at a golf stall at the coast and a very well stocked golf stall. He gave me a good price for the remaining clubs. Made 1000 euros in all as the equipment was only four years old all Callaway Mavrik good quality and I bought the driver and five wood something to remember him when I pull out the driver as I needed a new driver and we’ll all miss him.🏌🏻‍♂️ Cheers to you both.

Hi Nic, good question about the hornet trap and the answer is.........I don't know! The only thing I can offer is that I think the trap is designed to keep them alive.........I have seen on the TV people then attaching something like a ribbon to captured hornets and then letting them go! They then follow the hornet back to the nest as the ribbon is visible! Well done with the golf clubs, hopefully the new owners will enjoy them as much as your dear friend. Also, I'm sure that you will be driving straighter than ever now! 💟
