I also recommend walking meditation first thing in the morning. It's a nice way to start the day. If done in a sunny/well lit area it gets the circadian rhythm knowing "ah, it's day time. Time to be awake". Also, since it' morning the mind hasn't picked up a lot of momentum from the day to day stuff. At night before bed, practicing loving-kindness meditation helps one sleep soundly. I recommend Ajahn Brahm's guided metta (loving-kindness) meditation. There's a 31 minute long one that i practice with every night. At the end when he chants, i recommend just settling the mind, not trying to get the mind to do anything. Just let it sit there. Thank you friend 😊💗🙏

Wait I thought it was just a normal stim that I'd do when I was anxious, but it turns out I've been meditating this entire time. It definitely helps clear my mind and personally it works better if I'm listening to music at the same time.

I can't explain how much your videos help me in keeping my hopes up. I recently have been going through a sad phase as I feel that my friends have almost completely forgotten me ever since the pandemic began, and hearing you say "Hello my friend" at the beginning of every video gives me hope that there still is someone who I can call my friend.... Also you've inspired me to try exercises like pull ups which is an exercise I could've only dreamt of doing... Thank you so so very much 😃😃😃

This makes me feel a lot better about the habit I have of pacing - not anxiously, just pacing. It's always helped me center my thoughts. I always kind of thought something was wrong with me, but maybe I just discovered something that worked.

Before I started walking (& eventually running) I did a lot of sitting meditation. For me, walking without distractions such as music, podcast, or talking with others is a much better form. Concentrating on the spot behind the center of my forehead helps stop my thoughts.

This is how I was introduced to meditation. I was pretty quickly in trance and kind of mindlessly enjoying the pleasant feeling of both the sensation of my feet on the floor walking and the inner joy or bliss or whatever that is called. 🥰

I’ve been doin this just out of habit. Didn’t know you had a video on it 😁. Problem is I do it when I’m stressed or depressed & when I do I just think about what’s making me feel that way. Love your videos. You are a very helpful, caring & kind person. Hope you always have a beautiful day Hampton.

Hey Hampton! Thesociallyawkwardginger here! Glad I caught your stream tonight. Being the poster child for ADHD I find meditation to be difficult at times. This was a great idea for me to help focus on a single task. Looking forward to trying this out and implementing in other areas of my life! Looking forward to Morning Coffee!

Man that walking meditation is the best. You should try eating lunch meditation, also works like marbles to actually taste the food and not taste the work-stress in that very important but most of the times unappreciated meal! Have a wonderful day my friend

Also called pacing. My parents thought I had social problems because I would pace in our backyard often. I would call it pondering. I don't think letting your mind wander is a bad thing...as long as you aren't overthinking things that would stress you out. I think of it as a version of defrag'ing for my mind and soul.
