Being suspicious of someone taking photos of an iconic and ornate building, in one of the most photographed cities in the world, shows a special kind of muppetry. Nothing to do with suspicion, everything to do with ego.

There is no basic courtesy left within the Police Force - "Are you alright mate ?" First of all, I am not your "mate"....second, back in the day, you would have been greeted with, "Good Morning/ Afternoon/, Sir/Madam, may I help you ? Perhaps that is an old-fashioned edict, nevertheless, three officers approaching - each taking their turn to 'test the waters', whereas once upon a time, only one of the three would engage in dialogue; it is an en masse interrogation technique. Is it any wonder the public fervently distrust these authoritarian figures (the Met especially) ? All very sad....

AS a ex Soldier and ex plod, no way would i join the pinky perkys, my sone was thinking and i showed some of these videos, off he went looked at some more and reversed his decision and has gone else where, the cops today have the most of basic training and let loose with a tutor (who has not grasped the law him/herself) they are arrogant, swear at the public.....in my time this would have being dealt with by supervision lol

One evening I saw a full moon as I was exiting a hospital. so I tought I would get my phone out to take a photo. there security guy said oh mate you can do that so I said why? I am only trying to take a picture of the full moon. he said you can't if your on private property as your still on the hospital grounds yet as you walk into a hospital there's cttv all over the place its plain stupid it's all a power trip thay are on these days

I can understand it is convenient to park their hands inside their duty vest. To me, it looks aggressive, as do folded arms & is not a good look when interacting with a member public.
