I was mostly interested in timetables. Im the kind of person who needs goals. I am currently 12 days away from weight-bearing.

Hey, I've been following u ever since I broke my ankle one year ago and you're my paranoia medicine haha. I had Bi Fracture and will be removing them in dec. Is the after surgery procedure similar to the first surgery? u have to do exercises/physio and stuff all over again? btw I actually like my current scar haha and kinda sad that it'll be deformed after this surgery i even gave it a name.

I'm 7 months post surgery interested if the swelling ever stops. I feel like I'll never do a HIIT workout again but desperately need to lose weight. Fyi dogs broke me not exercise lol.

Please let us know if you still make progress and what you do to accomplish that? And I know you have heard this a lot, but thanks so much for your video's and blog! You and all the fellow ankle-breakers online are really a big help!

+Mihal Freinquel Yes I read it and it was very interesting! I wondered (since you said your ankle is normal now, but not the same as before) if you still have some range of motion to regain and how you do this? (By yoga or stretching e.g.) I wonder if you can still see some progress after 2 years (as I heard you can from someone in my country). I broke my ankle 7 weeks ago and just started weight-bearing (Weber C fracture) and broke it just like you, I tripped getting out of a car.... Your blog has been a big help!

+Arlette te Marvelde I think technically my range of motion is relatively the same as my other ankle, but it does still feel tight. Yoga helps the most, as does massage. I also just bought a cupping set from amazon and that feels really great as well!

Hi, you mentioned massage has helped you. Can you explain what the massage therapist has done to your ankle/leg to help? I'm 6 1/2 weeks post surgery and wouldn't try it this soon, however, in case I need it in the future. The tightness and stiffness is quite evident since I've started weight bearing and exercises/stretching (ABC's, etc). I think about it all the time and am so worried that I'll re-fracture it again ....afraid to think about taking first step full weight bearing. I get so upset at people who've not had fractures telling me what I should be doing, or what other people have done with their fractures and how far behind I am. No one really knows what it's like until you experience this nightmare. I had shoulder surgery about a year ago and was recovering and finally doing well enough to work out in gym. Treadmill, lifting weights, etc. Now I'm back to ground zero. Do you think ankle breakers ever get on the treadmill again? Even if they think I can, I doubt that I'll go there after this experience. Hate the elliptical and don't feel like I get much from a bike. I had started a Yoga class before I broke my ankle early May. Guess that will wait awhile as well....So BUMMED.....

Hey Sue - the massage helped to break up the scare tissue and relax my very tight muscles after they had been immobilized for so long. I do think you'll be able to run again, you just have to be patient. You seem pretty freaked out - do you know about my Q&A calls? Is there another scar for the hardware removal surgery? Or do they just cut into the original scar? I've been juicing as a way towards optimum nutrition (the recipes in the book "Crazy Sexy Juice." Hoping that organic juices/smoothies help me with healing. One more question: Do you think the instability of simple hiking would help strengthen the ankle/calf/foot? Thanks for the yoga posts. Yoga rocks.

+Tamara D'Agata Malecki For me they cut into the same scar. I think hiking is great if it feels right. Walking in general is good.
