Huge, monster shower installation of wall to wall Schluter Kerdi Line-Vario is a variable length linear drain for tiled showers. Using modern materials including a heated shower floor, and traditional mud floor combined to create a waterproof shower with a linear drain that is the entire width of the wall from tile edge to tile edge. . This shower has an area for a tub, the shower floor and main floor a both heated with radiant electric heat by Schluter Ditra Heat floor warming system. The very large shower floor was created with a level area where the tub will sit and a sloped area for the shower portion, sloped to a Schluter Vario linear drain. The floor was floated with deck mud and then covered with Ditra heat membrane for the heat wire element, then sealed with a sheet membrane as required in a wet area. A very large format 2'x4' porcelain tile will be used on the shower walls and a 12"x24" porcelain tile will be used on the shower floor. When using a wall to wall line drain the wall tile must be installed first to obtain the proper fit of the linear drain.
