Moved about 18 months ago. Pretty much a good move, but starting over in the food, rebuilding a basic emergency stock, was challenging. Live in an apartment, and I prefer mostly my refrigerator for any extra food storage. Learned tips to work my fridge and freezer efficiently on electric. Also, learned to freeze a bit of extra produce. Learned to make chicken stock in my crockpot from a grocery deli rotiessre. The grocery store closer to me has not that great fried chicken, but the bones along with the seasoned coating, I save and freeze also for chicken stock. Leaned on food banks, but like fresh or frozen produce on sale, I am running out of freezer space. Last month my birthday month, and after scrimping and saving, purchased a food dehydrator which I am still learning and enjoying. This month, I squeezed in a off brand foodsaver. Nice as a single person to pick up a buy two, get one free sale on watermelon. Chunked and no rinds. Although rinds I found out like citrus peels in the Depression can be dipped in a simple sugared water for a nutritious candy. My watermelon I am still learning my foodsaver, but now several packages in the freezer. Am figuring out over the next month or two, can pull out of the freezer for to snack on. Think I averaged a total of nine pounds of watermelon about 55 cents pound. My grandkids I sent one of the two lb packages home with them. Food dehydrator have cut up celery and carrots. Don't care for these, yet grateful for donated food. Was able to dehydrate and decided with a coffee grinder, to do each as a powder. The other day, split a ramen package(for later), added in a spoonful each of the carrot and celery and some chicken. Am able to buy more frozen(bonus is cost effective with the preferred blanching) produce or fresh with the peak of harvest at lower costs. Dehydrating and sometimes powdering and sometimes with the foodsaver, as I prefer to freeze some of the dehydrated foods for longer term storage will be helpful. Still have a small freezer, but will be able to preserve the larger amounts of donated produce that sometimes comes my way. Includes lettuce, which I have been chopping into small pieces to include adding into chicken stock or a rotated prepper pantry soup. Healthier, cheaper and more creative although manual work upfront. Not a canner. Am also experimenting for my Camping Bag. Food bank will be less needed by me, I am more financial independent, and it solves the problem of being grateful yet not wanting to waste food. Have an apartment version of not used or questionable veggies I turn into a type of compost. Hope this helps others that want to take a step up or food management skills to experiment at different levels. Won't get rich, but my food budget being stretched a bit more farther.

The world we live in now is SO focused on consumerism & the thinking that the ONLY thing that will save us TIME is “convenience” 🤦🏻♀️ I’m on a strict budget & live alone....I found myself THROWING away about 20$ or so a week in food that would go bad because I was being LAZY - not properly prepping fruit/ veg, not planning meals properly and making a PLAN for my entrees/ meat etc. I wasn’t RAISED to throw food ($) away and/or pay ridiculous prices on items that MIGHT save me 10 minutes🥴. Even tho you get some income from your videos, you still should use the food bank. You are low income, have to pass on pain medicine due to cost, and that's who the food banks are supposed to help. Good buy on those chickens.

That's what I said too. That way what little he makes from you tube can go towards some of his house fixing issues (I think he has or had issues with the furnace or still does) not sure, or his car upkeep even, that's all very expensive to upkeep and on a fixed income that's hard to do. Also you tube isn't always the same pay either. You might do ok one month but not so good the next.
Sir, I have horrific chronic pain. Always ask them for discounts on every single med. Walgreens in particular gas helped me out when my insurance wouldn't. And go to the foodbanks. Their whole purpose is to help. Thank you for being so open. People beed to know the struggle is real.
I buy the egg potato salad in those containers like your coleslaw. Keep the container, it's useful to store leftovers and it's clear to see what's in there. Of course I think it's too thin for microwaving.

If you make a pasta sauce mix you can put chicken bits in that even about 4 medium mushrooms as😮 well that have been cut up and cooked in a small amount of butter, I had this today 😊
Make a meatloaf with half groundbeef. You can make meatballs, you can make sloppy joes. You got good beef. You can use the chicken for alot of stuff. You got a good haul. This is dixie from texas. You can make chicken salad, mayo, and chicken and salt pepper on one of those buns. Good.
I watch RU-vid on my tablet and run RU-vid videos on my phone on silent to let the ads run so you and a few others get the income from it. If you create playlists, your subscribers could run several videos all night while their phones charge. When you are done eating the chicken, boil it in plenty of water with celery, carrots, onion, etc. To make chicken noodles. Just stain everything, remove the meat from the bones, and add back to the broth then add noodles and cook. You would be surprised how much more meat you get from it.

You got some good deals on food today. I had to pick up an eye wash from the pharmacy a couple of days ago and my insurance didn't cover it. Cost me $65. Eye wash seems like a pretty basic item so I was surprised insurance didn't cover it.
If you have a dollar general close to you they have the dual action pain meds much cheaper and larger bottle. I switched over to those also and they work so much better then the others. Nice haul. Glad your videos are doing well.

I have started trying the bio freeze this month. First use gave me an asthma attack with tge strong mentol smell. Works fairly well. I use flexeral at night and it does help me sleep for a couple hours before waking up.
I was also wondering what happened to the food pantry. Aleays like, comment and watch videos to the very end. Also watch a commercial completely if you can stand it!

If you have a foot doctor ask them to prescribe the volterns for neuropathy for the feet and it should be covered. That's what I did. Walmart also has a 4 dollar prescription list. See if it is on that.

If you continue with over counter or prescription ask pharmacist for heart side effects info. There is a two page handout stapled to my bag all info on heart can happen to healthy heart too.. Also use the plastic measuring strip each time! I suddenly developed irregular heartbeat and the procedure to fix is not fun, awake, down throat and zap heart. @@nancyuren6456 Yes Stenosis is my main issue ! I had surgery back in 2007 ! Subluxation , Arthritis etc. I’ve had the Radio ablation done and the. Shots last year! Nothing helped. The Dr sent me to this place for Oxycodone 3 times daily.it barely takes the edge off . I’m going to talk about that a bit in my next vid I think ! I do have Medicare! You will love that Bio Freeze roll on? I've been using it for about 5 years. I roll it on my hand then rub it in. You will get a better effect that way. I also have chronic pain in my back and neck. The injuries I have my pain Dr. gave me the same drugs you take. I also got injections directly into my spinal cord area. I also was a candidate for a pain pump. Ask your Dr. about that. After they put the pump in NO more pain anywhere in my body. Ask its truly life changing.

Nah I wouldn’t use the bio freeze not strong 💪 enough for me if you want to really kill the pain use Tiger Balm there’s regular strength and than there’s extra strength whoa 😳 watch out with the extra strength very little goes a long way trust me I have back issues I have regular pain killers but I only use when my back goes completely out where I can not walk at all but yeh the tiger balm will definitely help with your athletic pain

Try Sprouts ground beef at $9 per pound. Ken Berry, Paul Saladino and other carnivore doctors recommend this. You paid $18 for 5 pound ground beef. Sprouts will charge you $45 for 5 pounds ground beef. Egg noodles are basically sugar. Walmart chicken is not organic pasture raised. Filled with sugar and chemicals. You paid $4 for chemical chicken. Sprouts chicken organic 3/4 pound chicken thighs are $15. Sprouts organic pasture eggs dozen is $12 Total you paid at Walmart was $25 for ground beef, chicken, noodles. At Sprouts you would pay $72 for ground beef, chicken, and eggs. Logic is that you need to purchase real food at Sprouts and stop poisoning yourself with Walmart and Dollar Tree artificial chemical gmo food.

Hi Dale! I was so happy to see you got the BiOfreeze! I pray it works for your pain! It works for my husband! & me when I "overdo" my gardening! This is Joline Crane.,my old tablet pooped out, so now I have to learn this new one! I don't know if it's dead, dead but the charger won't go in the plug any more so I can't charge it,& DH changed cell companies so I can't get it fixed at the old company now😢 I don't know about the 5lb rolls of burger at Aldi, but we used to buy the 1 lb. rolls of 80/20 @ Aldi to keep in freezer for spaghetti, chilli, marzetti, hamburger helper etc, it was good for that. We used to buy the 12 ct,frozen patties to keep in the freezer for burgers, we could cook them from frozen, I liked that 'cos I always seem to forget to defrost things for supper! They were good for us. We were going to pantry regularly but pretty stocked up right now, so we haven't went for about a month or so. Hubby gets $50 a month for anything we need from Humana, I think he pays $3(something) a month for it, so we get fill ins with that(bread, milk,sale meats etc) I've got my garden, or I call it "my science project!" Seejng what I can't kill! Lol! I have 3 kinds of potatoes growing g in grow bags, hopefully I'll get something out of it! Patio, sweet 100 and yellow cherry tomatoes,English cucumber, bell peppers, banana peppers and 1 hot pepper( was marked down for 50€cents for the plant, we don't really like hot stuff but I like to put a whole one in a pot of beans for flavor!(otherwise we're whimps!) Heck even some regular foods "burn" my tongue(1/2 my tongue was made from muscles and tendons from my arm,from tongue cancer) I think I already told you that before, sorry I'm not trying to dwell on ! I have one if I had a wagon I could walk to, they give you spaghetti, sauce, Mac n cheese, beans, rice, peanut butter, tuna,sometimes salmon, cereal,sometimes snacks, pretty much same things every time,my other one we go to, you go thru' like a grocery store, depending on your family size, and what they have that time, you can say yes or no to whatever they have,breads eggs, milk,fruits and veggies, rice and beans, it's a little different depending on what's been donated,pretty much the basics, sometimes more sometimes less, we say no thanks to things we won't use or don't like,or if we have too much of it at home like I've got about 20 lbs of carrot pieces right now in my fridge, so I'd pass on those right now! But I love carrots so I use them a lot! I make them like candy in a corning dish with a lid in thru microwave, just a little water steams them soft and then butter and a smidgen of sugar or brown sugar or even Splenda ( I have that for my mom when she comes over she's diabetics doesn't have to take insulin , she watches what she eats pretty well! We have what's called Life care Alliance, they have meals on wheels, a Cafe' people can go eat a hot meal, they used to give us pantry when I had cancer thru a cancer program from the hospital but after all my treatments and I was cancer free, they no longer provided it to me, they had a program for HIV/Aids patients and other medical problems to get food too , I really don't know all about it they helped us a lot when I was sick , I'm grateful for that! My husband was laid off for the 1st time in 40 years, when I got sick, I think that was God sent! Myself! I'm not really religious but I DO BELIEVE! " Stay Frosty"Catch ya next time! Joline

@@PrepperDale aw cool glad it worked for you especially since you have to wait for meds to get filled! That's B.S.! I know they act like you're a drug addict when you need pain meds! At least they did me! They had me on oxy after my 12 hour surgery on my neck arm skin graft on my leg for my arm and my tongue!! Oh and also threw my shoulder out trying to use my good arm for everything!! They need to feel pain to know you need them when you're hurting ! All mine has to be crushed and put down my feeding tube!! My poor husband and mom had to do everything for me! My mom made me wait the while time cos' she was afraid I'd get hooked on them the bottle said 4 to 6 hours, she made me wait 6 until the Dr told her healing hurts worse than the initial pain! I don't need them bow but 10-11 years ago I wished I was dead!! So glad that works for at least in between times ! I know they mess with your stomach too. We kept a book of what time and what they had given me when, I had so many wounds to dress besides feeing me by tube and side effects from all of it! I do " get it!" Could definitely drive you to drinking!( I can't drink'cos I can't eat enough to cost my stomachache or drink booze on a empty stomach!! Yuck! Ttyl bud!
