WAMUUUUUU. Fair warning on this one: it's LOUD. Like...REALLY LOUD. All credit goes to sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, sound designer Yasumasa Koyama, and David Production.
I completely forgot how insanely powerful the Pillar Men were. Wamuu turns his hands into wind drills capable of demolishing a stone pillar in seconds and shred enemies caught between them. Every missed shot he fired at Ceazar did more damage to the environment that most firearms, and his control over his element gives him so many support options. All this without the a Stand or the technicalities that come with them... Star Platinum (before time stopping) honestly feels like a short range Wamuu, complete with infinite air succ and swaping the forehead drill for STAAH FINGAAAAA!!!
That's something I particularly enjoy about Part 2. The Pillar men are so Overshelmingly Powerful that they could easily kill Jojo, but at the same time Jojo could also kill them with (theoretically) minimal force thanks to Hamon, so every fight felt like a puzzle & a clash of tactics. While Stand fights do this a lot, there's also a lot of "My stand is just stronger than yours" like Star Platinum v.s. Blue Moon or "I need to run away from this stand until I find the user." Like Josuke vs Highway A-Go-Go. & true, variety is good, the fights in part 2 will remain some of my faves.
Wammu is such and interesting character to me, heck! I even though He was the leader if the pillar men first time i saw him. I really liked that even though he was a villan, he still had his morals that were very respectable while still acting like the badguy.
"Damn Im hurt all over, should I try to finish him off? Nah, that'd be stupid, I should block his ways of running away instead, while trying to break the ceiling
Ceasar was actually stupid. Had him used his bubble cutter again, once Wammu reactivated his wind shield, Wammu would either die from the bubbles tearing him apart, or from the sunlight, if he deactivated his shield to escape the bubbles. Ceasar litterally had him cornered and could've easily won if he just went for a safer and guaranteed approach. But no !! he had to get close and be shredded by Wammu's technique.
Animation is prohibitively expensive and labour intensive even for a company like David production, so they have to be economical about how they expend their time, effort and budget for animation, that's why some scenes usually very big climatic ones like this fight between Wammu and Ceasar have higher quality frame by frame animation than other scenes. The only way to get more animation like this would be extending its development time meaning we'd have to wait even more years between adaptions of each part, plus it would be even more pressure on the animators.
Wamuu is the very pinnacle of a good warrior, he respects his opponents and has a lot of fighting skills. He's more respectable than any villain in my opinion.
I ran through just about every villain (At least in Parts 1-6) in my head, and yeah, I can’t think of someone more respectable than Wamuu. N’Doul and Prosciutto come close, but they ultimately still stomp on the lives of others and are aware of how much of a terrible person they are. Wamuu merely has a skewed belief system, looking up to Kars who saved him and believing himself superior to humans, which in all fairness, his biology would suggest. He’s being honorable and good within what he believes, and never really had a chance to change his mind given the echo chamber of the other pillar men and violent opposition from the hamon warriors.
Im suprised how Kars or esidisi isnt scared of Wammu Like Kars has a light blade and esidisi has boiling blood which are powerful in thier own right But wammu is the only one who can withstand the sun, fight melee or ranged combat and control over wind is especially deadly since wind is everywhere and can be weaponised, not like light or blood
You’re right about all of that, but when you think about it Wammu is practically Kars son as he did raise him since he was a baby and Wammu wouldn’t turn on Kars or Esidisi for no reason, hence why they wouldn’t be scared of him
They seem to respect each other enough that none of them planned on betraying the other. Even Kars promised to avenge Whammu and Eisidisi after he became the Ultimate Thing.
@@user-gl7ry9pm5j makes no sense after that i’m pretty sure he only fought hamon users who would had their guard up using hamon which is deadly so the smart option would be to use the air since it’s more lethal

@@its_Criminal1 His Regen is still pretty damn strong, and I don't think Diavolo can exploit that limit, King Crimson's raw strength isn't enough to annihilate Wammu, specially if Wammu is skilled in area-based attacks. Diavolo's weakness is by tricking him into area based attacks (like Polnareff did). Wammu is pretty freaking smart. With his extreme durability and battle experience, I think he is able to outsmart Diavolo into falling into one of his Sandstorms. And Diavolo's durability sucks, Diavolo would need multiple hits to kill Wammu, and Wammu would only need one. Time Erase and Epitaph are his only ways of dodging Wammu. I don't think even Epitaph could garantee Diavolo dodging a Sanstorm without time erase. If he's caught during a TE cooldown, it's over.
@@confusedpharaoh6249 i agree with everything you have said but remember king crimson is capable of donuting people with pretty much ease. If Diavolo does a full power barrage he can injure wammu to insane extents
Whammu has dignity,he doesn't want only the killing,he wants the fight For this reason he didn't use it against caesar or joseph Also I think hamon can stop this, idk
