She killed it. I've watched all the WHCDs and she's near the top. Solid writing material that was relevant and didn't use the rehash "cspan" and "Hilton" targets. Knew when to take appropriate pauses for impact and barely used any notes. The order and transitions of the jokes were masterful for any standup act.

+Interested Viewer Sorry, the Queen has no involvement in planning the Royal Variety Performance (an annual Christmas-time fund-raiser), and does not know or care who performs. Occasionally the Queen attends it, and when she does show up she sits through some of the performances. Then she greets most of the performers, who have their photos taken bowing or curtsying.

Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House at the time. If both the President and the Vice President become incapacitated, the Speaker is next in line to the office of the President. With that in mind, the joke is that by encouraging Obama and Biden to go out together Nancy Pelosi's motives can be construed as sinister, especially as she was a known Hillary supporter

blognewb the joke isn't that they would be incapacitated by eating burgers lol the joke implies that them being together in the same public space like that was risky in the sense that there could have been an attack on them (terrorist or otherwise) hence the Nancy Pelosi mention - if both of them were killed or incapacitated she would be next in line. Usually the president and vice president aren't very often in the same place at the same time, flying in the same plane etc for safety reasons.

She killed! This was one of the very best. I have loved her ever since she made that joke when Bush was still Governor of Texas and he was going ahead with the death penalty on a born-again woman: "You love Jesus? That's good 'cause you gonna meet him."

Just viewed this in 2017 :-) Wanda is great! This is a really difficult crowd and she did very well, got much more laughs than some of the others (mostly guys), who followed her.

I think this performance is a little stiff. That is a very difficult crowd to play to. They have to think before they laugh. This is not a crowd that can easily be themselves and laugh at something that could be construed as inappropriate. Wanda is real trooper and pro.
