Hey, great video! I worked on Wonder (season 1) as a background artist. The production was done at Mercury Filmworks in Ottawa, Canada. It was may favorite show I've worked on to this day. I really love the art style and snappy animation. It's great to see a video like this, brings back memories. Alien episode is probably my favorite (ep14). Cheers!

This show was underrated AF. I only fell off because they never aired it as much as other shows

I'm happy that I'm not the only one who saw similarities between Wander Over Yonder and Banjo-Kazooie! If we ever got a proper Banjo-Kazooie series, the style and tone of Wander Over Yonder would fit like a glove.

I honestly don't know if I'd be the same person I am now if it wasn't for this show! It helped me get out of a bad situation when I was younger and still does to this day. Currently rewatching the entire series since the the 10th anniversary is coming soon! 10...10th anniversary? IT'S ALREADY BEEN TEN YEARS?!? I was 8 when the show started!! 💀

How have I never found this channel before? The editing is so high-quality, amazing video!

This is an old relic that I honestly wish they brought back as I felt like a lot of cartoons I watched at the time tried to play it too serious that it was cringe or just had way too much exposition in what should had been an action orientated show. Wander knew what it wanted to be, a show you could watch without needing to think too much and of course the animation and comedy was on point. There's not a lot of cartoons out there that capture this fun without either being too out there or have to rely on characters having quips and zingers to spice things up.

This show deserved so much better. It was getting really good in its second season and had a ton of potential to go further, but got cut short. Animation is so hard and people who do this for a living, definitely deserve more credit and respect.

Finally someone talks about this classic of a show thanks.

I kept hearing good things about this show. So once I had access to Hulu and found it on there I binged the whole thing in a week. I was sold immediately.

Never gonna forgive Disney for canceling this great show so soon.(well at least Kid cosmic managed to fill the wander shaped hole in my heart).

I have a VERY special connection to this show, before I watched it in late 2014 I was depressed as I was in middle school and I hated it, I was getting constantly bullied and becoming more bitter, it also didn’t help I also had Pneumonia around the same time too. I saw that Wander Over Yonder was on and I decided ehhh why not nothing else is on anyway, so I watched the episode The Lonely Planet and I smiled so much in a way I hadn’t before I was entranced in the characters specifically Wander. After I finished I was hooked and watched the series throughout the next year as the second season was coming up, I also became more happy and being optimistic and when the day came for the season 2 premiere I watched it live and managed catch every episode when they first aired every Monday. But when I heard that the show was cancelled after it’s second season I was both sad and angry because Disney mistreated the show by switching channels, it also didn’t help that they ended it on a cliffhanger which I was furious about, to this day I still have a grudge against Disney for how they treated the show. But today I still watch it and was so ecstatic when it FINALLY came to Disney+, the show has shaped me into who I am today, and is one of the reasons I decided to get serious on being a filmmaker. I hope one day it returns to finish the series off properly especially nowadays with the all the hate and horrible things going on in the world we need a show like Wander Over Yonder to return. All I can say now is thank you Craig… thank you.

I just discovered this show recently, and I gotta say it might be the best cartoon I've ever watched. I'm so obsessed with it, but at the same time sad that I've finished all the episodes already. There's just so much to love about this show. I really appreciate how unique and hilarious some of the character personalities are especially Emperor Awesome and Something the So and So or whatever his name is.

Still one of my favorite shows of all time. The pure creativity, skill and optimism it exudes brings me not only comfort but also hypes me up and inspires me. I hope that at some point we will get the storylines they wanted to do in season 3. As of right now Craig has kept the loose ends hush hush in hopes that they will ever get a continuation.

Great video, this show helped me get through the latter half of college with its unapologetic joy and humor, even if it was challenged sometimes in the second season. It kept it simple and told more poignant stories than the typical 2010s Prestige TV wannabe like, say, Legend of Korra. Craig McCracken, a veteran creator, knew what he wanted to do, what he was capable of doing, which themes he wanted to tackle, and stuck to it. He even had a pitch bible. Thus, Wander over Yonder was the perfect blend of both the episodic and serialized, working around whatever limitations came from the network and ended on the best note it could. Fans still look back fondly upon it as a result. Funnily enough about the typical 2010 starter pack show, it would initially begin with a certain amount of hype before eventually losing ratings season after season due to each one unnecessarily taking forever to get to the next important plot point in a misguided attempt to copy the most popular shounen anime. See Steven Universe or Star vs. They wanted to be taken seriously and seem more mature by losing their first season's sense of fun and slapping on real-world issues such as genocide, trauma, familial abuse, and institutional racism. They received at twice least twice the number of seasons that this show did and crashed and burned, ending on sour notes with horrendous implications that people either gag at or joke bitterly about.

TBH, this show would've done way better on Cartoon Network had it not been for CN Real making their talent leave.

I was deep in the wander over yonder tumblr fandom during season 2, the best part of that was undoubtedly Frank Angone's Woy Villain Leaderboard! I actually made and kept updated the visual representation of that through the weeks that it ran! My little plant girl Azolla ended up being 13th greatest in the Galaxy by the end of it!

I remember finding out about this show on Disney XD Canada (which surprisingly had no trash Canadian shows) and for some reason I didn't watch it at the time for some reason despite my spark of interest. At the time i had no idea it was made by Craig McCracken. Throughout my life i never als watched or cared about family channel.

This was a really great vid, dude! ^v^ If you don't mind, I wanna talk a bit about my own experience with this show. Though it took me a bit to get into WoY, by the middle of the 1st season, it was one of my fave cartoons. I was also in college when it first premiered, so it's positive attitude and humor helped me through the more rough times. It was through the Tumblr fandom that I met my best friend, who I still speak with to this day. I met other friends too, and had such a ball theorizing and writing fanfiction with them, and I remember being so heartbroken when I first heard it was cancelled - like, actually crying when I heard the news. These days, while I'd say shows like Rise of the TMNT and (ironically) Kid Cosmic are better, WoY will always have a special place in my heart. I will say though that while s2 has some absolutely AMAZING episodes like the musical ep, the Black Cube, Boy Wander, and the Hole... Lotta Nothin', I feel both it and Dominator herself are a bit overrated. While I didn't mind it too much while originally watching, I don't care for the Dom arc as much in rewatches. It's kiiinda messy or kinda drags at some points. Honestly, I kinda prefer the simplicity of s1. That season may have a few duds, but it also has The Little Guy and, what I consider to be my personal favorite episode, The Nice Guy, so I feel like I'm always gonna love season 1 a teeeeny bit more. Looking at the series as a whole though, there's still a lot to love in both seasons. This cartoon deserved way more praise than it originally got, and I hope as the years go on, more animation fans recognize it as the gorgeous, hilarious and heartfelt cartoon that it is ^v^

I also first watched Wander Over Yonder on Family, but around Q1 2014, with "The Ball" being my introductory episode (and then iDuckFilms making short YTPs of every episode throughout the series span, I also watched those). Even back in the day I was in love with the show, and when I heard that it was getting cancelled, I caught all Season 2's final episodes on their Canadian Disney XD premieres. I may have only been 13 on my first watch, but Beeza, from The Ball, kinda became one of my many platonic crushes in my youth. To kinda sidetrack, this show also inadvertently got me interested in the Tumblr RPC (role-playing community). Most of the credit goes to wINDY -REDACTED-'s Dominator blog, thegreatestinthegalaxy, which popped up shortly after My Fair Hatey first premiered. I think she probably nailed Dom's character to a perfect tee; Even posted her selfie from "The Flower" as soon as the episode first aired, and stuck with the series timeline for interactions all the way to the series' end. She's still active there, and very talented at what she does, even back in 2016. So in a way, Wander got me into trying new things in a way I wouldn't've expected, and I have its fans to thank for it. ♥️

Favorite episodes first, top three 1. The Void 2. My Fair Hatey 3. The Boy Wander Next, this show is criminally underneath the... everything. It deserves more love, or at least attention. Disney definitely could've pushed it more, though I understand there were more prominent shows at the time, its still a masterpiece that should've had at the LEAST three seasons. As much as I loved season to for settling into a rhythm and, well, I'm a sucker for plot, I wish Dominantor wasn't the only focus. As much as she's great and dorky, they could've also focused more on her character beyond the episodes she had for a minute or so. I have to say I thought Sylvia would have an actual impact. Any amount of everyone's backstories would be nice, and I will say WHEN Wander Over Yonder comes back in hopes it does. When it does, more delving into character or background would be interesting and dare I say, the best turn it can take atm. Hijinks can only take a show so far All that aside, I love this show with all my heart. Possibly my favorite Disney creation, and its amazingly fun to draw Wander. ❤ (Apologies for any inconsistencies or mistakes, I haven't slept in a while and it's quite late, or early, I guess)

Finally a creator I watch talked about this gem of a show. I completely get what you mean when you say it influences you into adulthood, I was already pretty nice before watching this but after watching this show I just became a full on level 20 dork doing things like holding the door open for the exit to rides, usually getting stuck for a few minutes most of the time. I freaking love this show and is still probably in my top 3 favorite cartoons.

I still remember my first thought when I saw "The Picnic." I thought that this show belonged on Nickelodeon more than the Disney Channel.

I love WOY *SO MUCH!!* So much that it has inspired me to actually make my own cartoon after wanting to for years!! It helped me find my style! Find myself! Heck, find my life!! I dontknow where I would be without it :)

I like how positive and uplifting this video was, not just in regards to praising Wander of Yander (It well deserves it's praise believe me), but also in how it handles it's cancellation. We need more positivity than ever in the animation world like that today.

I miss Wander Over Yonder, not every episode is amazing and they cut the budget for season 2 so the animation wasn't as good for some episodes but it was still an incredible cartoon

Sam Riegel was also Donatello in the 2003 version of TMNT. He was also that guy in Naruto who got his arms broken by Sasuke during the Chúnin Exam arc, Starscream in the Cybertron games by High Moon Studios... He's been a bunch of characters that sadly sound way too much like eachother...

I love Wander Over Yonder. Watching the show genuinley has changed me as a person. I was never a bad person as far as I've been told, but I've been doing everything I can to be a better person. I've also changed how I talk, I sound more like wander now, which is funny lol

Whenever I show people Wander, I always put on the episodes: The Breakfast, for being able incredible parallel almost everything with two stories (well, technically, both Wander and Hater are just trying to eat breakfast so it kinda the same story but you know what I mean. And it’s brother episode, The Big Day, for just being one of the most ridiculous concepts for any show I’ve seen… Wander’s execution is being treated like a wedding

I feel like this show is a love letter to old 80 and 90s cartoons considering all the things they refrence from he man and the forces of evil to shows like the power rangers

To be honest, Lord Dominator is the one thing I don't like about the show. I felt like she was just a little too extreme in every direction and too intense, but with that said maybe seaon 3 would've improved her some more :) I just wish the show would come back

I absolutely LOVE this cartoon!!! It's one of my top 5 favorite cartoon shows of the 2010's.

I'm planning to make a video about this show eventually bur you really knocked it out of the park with this. I love how both seasons perfectly contrast each other with the main threat, but man a third season would have been amazing. Out of all the shows Disney's cut off to soon, this one surprisingly hurts the most.

This show was the GOAT and I have yet to find a show that does what it does. Definitely deserved better.

I've always liked this show's artstyle (and maybe Lord Dominator's villain song as well) so it was cool to hear about it more in depth, especially paired with your personal revelations about different cartoons thriving in different ways. I think the Foghorn Leghorn point came across pretty well. I always think of stuff like Spongebob or Chowder as well. They might not necessarily be deep stories, but my friends and I will always love those characters and their stories as much as we love stuff like Adventure Time.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who finds this cartoon overrated. I've said it before but to me it's unfocused, unfunny, and kinda annoying. Dominator was the only good part worth salvaging. Kid Cosmic is better.
