There was so much great pop, "alternative," and quasi-alternative music coming out around that time, during the "second British invasion." There was a lot of Good stuff competing for our attention that had to compete with a good deal of mediocre stuff that was over-promoted. You'd have an OK song getting played every hour on MTV and pop gems that should have been hits getting little if any play. But Wang Chung were pretty big for a while. I think they had strong promotional support from their record company.
Yeah the 90 were good too. Maybe not as good as the 80s. I think anyone born after 1985 kind of got the raw end of the deal. I was born in 84 and graduated high school in 2002. I think my class and maybe the class of 2003 were that last graduating classes that didn't have to deal with cell phones and computers just taking over everything. Childhood is completely different now.
Man, I was 17 in 1980 and that Whole decade was GREAT !!! Was it Great because the Atmosphere and Society was that much better then today or was it because I was Just a Young Kid and didn’t know any better ? I can tell you this, my life from 17-23 was SO MUCH FREER & Less Stressed then my Son’s 17-23…. Yet, he’s having a Great time with friends, bandmates & housemates….YOUTH CONCURS ALL !!!
1985 was the year too be 13-16 years old, the breakfast club and Back to the future, Beverly Hills cop and ferris beaullers day off, so many great films, such great music as well.
I WANNA BE AN AIRBORNE RANGER!!! I WANNA LEAD A LIFE OF DANGER!!! BEFORE THE DAY I DIE--THERE'S FIVE THINGS I WANNA RIDE!!! BICYCLES, TRICYCLES, AUTOMOBILE!!! VIRGIN'S MOTHER AND A FERRIS WHEEL!!!
One of my all time favorite movies & I have all of John Hugh's movies. He was a natural at making teen movies, real ones, with great music that invokes the deepest part of our souls when we listen/watch again..Growing up in the 80's would not have been the same without JH's movies (90's too, Uncle Buck, ect.). He is right behind Michael Jackson for memories & importance in my 80's upbringing. This kick ass song is my 2nd fav. song in the Breakfast Club. "Don't you... forget about about me...." We won't John. :)
Seeing Wang Chung Friday. They've been doing Twilight on tour. The concert will also be 10 minutes away from the location where they filled Breakfast Club.
Absolutely love this move!. Judd Nelson was cool, Ally Sheedy was sexy as hell, and the soundtrack rocked. I also really liked the song that played in the library when they all got stoned and rocked out...."we are not alone" by Karla Devito. awesome song. And of course the ending song "Dont you forget about me" by Simple Minds. This movie imo was the apotheosis of the "brat-pack" movies.
I saw Wang Chung open for the Cars in 1984. New Haven Coliseum in Connecticut. Every body Wang Chung tonight was their big hit. I actually don’t remember this song. But they obviously played it that night.

Na SP bola vydaná so skladbou The Reggae Keitha Forseya.
I always loved this song, but I was today years old when I first saw this video. It's gloriously bad even by 80s standards, and I'm here for all of it!
I’ve been watching the Breakfast Club for 30 years and I’ve only just found out this was Wang Chung. I had a mate who studied martial arts and I constantly asked him how his Wang Chung was going (he studied Wing Chun). Ah, the LOLs
(3:02) Que sad. Pobre Nick Feldman, durante este vídeo siempre sufre accidentes, pero este es el más trágico de todos. Afortunadamente Jack Hues revierte el tiempo y Nick Feldman logra salvarse.
I Think Molly Ringwald Is A Chicago Bulls Fan Imagin Molly Ringwald At The United Center For A Chicago Bulls Basketball Game And Becoming A Chicago Bulls Fan
I love this song and the Breakfast Club. 80s movies, music, and time seemed so damn fun to live in. Not to sound all negative but I hate living in this year. The music sucks, movies suck, and the most people suck lol. I'm sure every era had good and bad but 2020s suck ass already just sayin' 🤣
@@killyourtelevision999 I feel sorry for kids being kids today. It's so depressing today. We can be as positive as we choose but its still not a good time for children or anyone.
